12 Fortune Dragons Drum Frenzy is the second Orient-themed slot that Circular Arrow has designed for Games Global, and it's also a sequel that manages to improve on the original's top prize.
Setup-wise, it looks about the same as most slots, with 5x3 reels and 20 paylines. Its top prize, at 5,000x the stake, is not particularly impressive, but you see it in a lot of high-volatility slots, and just like here, it's usually paired with a 96% RTP. The kind of features you will find inside are also common, including the Epic Strike symbols, wilds, a Tower Bonus, Bonus Spins, a Collect mechanic, and a few more.
For the bets available in 12 Fortune Dragons Drum Frenzy, you will be able to select values ranging from $0.20 to $50.
12 Fortune Dragons Drum Frenzy pays as much as 5,000x the stake, an amount that is at least partially going to come from the Tower, where an Epic Pay of 4,000x the stake is at the top of its offering. The downside with many of these Games Global slots is that they have high volatility, which we see here, but they don't go to the same extremes payout-wise. Its RTP can be at 96%, but it can also be lower, so watch out for that.
An important part of the game's offer takes the form of the Epic Strike Tower, present on the left side. Get 3 to 12 of the special symbols to claim prizes from the Tower, going up to 4,000x the stake. This is possible during paid spins only. The Tower values can be improved if you get Epic Strike symbols with cash prizes attached to them.
Regular winning combinations will form as well, and you can get help with that from Pearl Wilds.
Randomly, as you collect 3wilds, you can get the Tower Bonus. It can give you a cash prize, Drum Frenzy, or bonus spins.
The bonus spins can also be triggered randomly as you get bonus symbols with drums. Regular drums can land on reels 2 and 3, while the Cash, Jumbo, and Drum Frenzy can show up on reel 4. If you get 3 bonus symbols at the same time, you get 3 bonus spins.
Collect symbols in Drum, Jumbo, Cash Collect, and Drum Frenzy are available during bonus spins and may upgrade them if you get enough of them to land. A total of 8 bonus levels are available, with the reels expanding each time and giving you better top prizes (4,000x can be claimed at the highest level).
There are also the Drum features that you can trigger by collecting tokens that land as overlays on bonus symbols. You can get access either to Cash Drums, Jumbo Drums, or Drum Frenzy. These are different ways to collect Cash symbols, as you go through multiple spins (3 bonus spins, typically).
It's well designed, and it looks pretty much like any other Chinese-inspired slot, with a focus on lucky numbers and objects with gorgeous designs that signify prosperity or luck in some way. There are fruits, the BAR logo on a food bowl, a bell, coins tied with a red knot, and the number 8 (single, double, and triple variants).
12 Fortune Dragons Drum Frenzy will likely feel like a typical slot for the Orient category, but it's going to deliver more features than most, and if you want something complex, then it might be the right choice.
