Hot Spin, which was released by iSoftBet in the summer of 2018, is a game that is relatively simple if you look at its symbols alone, but check out that Wheel of Fortune style feature which dominates the screen, and you will find its unique element. At its simplest level, it is a game with 5 reels that are populated by 20 active lines. It’s promising to pay up to $500 for each winning combo, while also delivering spins on the Hot Wheel (15 different features) or wild symbols.
The bet, like in a lot of other iSoftBet releases is going to be easy to set up. The lines will be fixed, so you don’t do anything about this bit. You just select the value of the coins which are going to be used, and as they go between $0.01 and $1, the betting range is modified from $0.20 to $20.
In a game with an RTP of 96%, the rewards aren’t quite as high as I’d imagine them to be, so that just goes to show you how important the Hot Wheel can be. Regular combinations pay at most 500x, or up to $500. Multipliers might give you a boost to $2,000 per win.
The most basic feature that you will encounter in this game will be the Wild feature. Showing a simple W logo, this symbol is capable of acting as a replacement for another one, provided that it’s not the Bonus icon that requires this help. Two to five W logos will even form combinations to get you paid, if they are arranged on a single line.
As for the Bonus icon, with the Wheel of Fortune behind it, this one triggers the Hot Wheel with one spin, by appearing at the same time on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels.
This Hot Wheel gives you as many as 15 free spins, and it will also decide what type of extra feature you will get for the duration.
Mystery Symbols: 6 to 8 random symbols with the same icon are placed on the reels, the chosen symbol changing each round.
Random Wilds: you could get on the reels 5, 7 or 10 additional wild symbols, placed at random.
Wild Reels: each Hot Spin benefits from 1 to 3 stacked wild reels. Get the Super Wild Reels to have up to 5 columns transformed.
Win Spins: these are Hot Spins which benefit from guaranteed winning combinations. Each win also gets a 2x, 3x or 4x multiplier applied to it.
Mega Reel: this feature transforms either the first three or the middle three reels into Colossal Reels.
In-Sync Reels: you will find that a maximum of 3 reels are linked and spin with identical symbols in similar positions. With the Super In-Sync Reels, you can have up to 4 linked reels.
It should be noted that Hot Spins can also be delivered at random, for one round during your paid spins. They will benefit from either In-Sync Reels, Mega Reels, Win Spins, Wild Reels, Random Wilds or Mystery symbols, if you get them this way.
It’s not much of a theme, so clearly this isn’t the big attraction in Hot Spin. You have a couple of logos representing the features, a blue diamond, a red 7, gold stars or bells, along with four fruits (melon, plum, lemon and cherries). I think you will find the quality of their design adequate, but that’s it.
Hot Spin has the right RTP, a classic theme that should attract some players if they prefer simple action, but also a lot of different features via its Hot Wheel.
