The Curious Cabinet is a very cool new release from Iron Dog, a game which looks perfect as a scary slot, while at the same time remaining a fairly interesting design, one of the cuter ones that I’ve seen lately actually.
Moving on to the game layout, you’re going to find that The Curious Cabinet offers us 5 reels which have 40 active lines in place, quite a few opportunities to win presenting themselves as a result. The bets, if they’re high enough, may bring you as much as $50,000 for a single round. It’s a slot with a decent RTP, of 96%, but also with Wild Roses, expanding scatters (Dolls and Monsters), along with the Silver Drawer and its free spins, re-spins and multipliers.
Betting and Prizes
You are setting up the bet, and you always have all active lines in play. There are 40 coins to be used then, for just as many lines. The bets may start at the $0.40 minimum value, and they may reach $50 at most. That’s a bet of up to $1.25 placed on each line.
The game mentions that its maximum potential for one round, where you get certain expanding scatters to occupy 15 positions, can reach 40,000 coins. Given the value of the coins in this game, that’s the equivalent of $50,000.
We also know what kind of RTP we can expect from this game. It’s projected that over the course of its life, the game will pay back to players 96% of the amount invested in it. It might not sound like much, but for a slot machine it’s a decent Return to Player percentage.
The Curious Cabinet Slot Features
The Curious Cabinet has quite the unusual list of features, particularly when it comes to its scatter symbols, and so it’s the sort of slot that innovates as well, one of the few that do it actually.
First, you’re going to have the Wild Rose. As the substitute symbol, it’s capable of paying very well on its own for each combo it creates directly, but it’s also helpful in forming wins of lower value with other symbols. It’s not a replacement for any of the feature icons.
When it comes to scatter symbols, The Curious Cabinet has a couple to offer, and they’re quite unusual. They appear in multiple locations around the reels, and provided that at least four matching ones are in view, there will be a payout offered. One is the Doll, and it lands in regular or in 1x3 versions. Up to 15 Dolls will offer rewards of up to 24,000 coins.
The other scatter which does this is the Monster, though this time it’s going to occupy 2x2 areas at most. They also pay the most, up to 40,000 coins if they fill 15 positions on the reels which host 20 symbols total.
The Silver Drawer is a simpler type of scatter, which can appear on the 2nd and 4th reels. It will give you a prize, a multiplier, re-spins or access to free spins.
Theme & Design
The idea behind The Curious Cabinet is to show you what kind of things might be hidden in a witch’s cabinet. There are some very well designed symbols used in the game, and all of them look like they belong there. You don’t get any card suits, royals or other filler symbols. Instead, you’re looking at human hearts, skulls, poison bottles, toads, magic orbs and butterflies.
The Curious Cabinet has the right theme, design, RTP, unique features and even some cool payouts, so you get all the reasons you could need to try it out.
