Gold Star Fruits Slot
A game with a classic theme, and with similarly dated looking symbols, Gold Star Fruits is Greentube’s slot. It is available with two different game modes, it’s on the risky side volatility wise, and even though it might not seem like it, ultimately it’s not very complex or difficult to figure out.
You are looking at a game with 5 reels, which have 10 active lines that will form combinations both ways. The game offers the player two game modes, with regular and Super Spins being available. Expanding Joker wilds are available for the latter, but that’s pretty much it feature wise. With top wins as high as 2,500x the stake, and with the Return to Player at 95%, the game has both pros and cons when it comes to its potential.
Betting and Prizes
Simple enough, the wager system only asks you to select the total amount which goes into the next spin. The option allows for bets anywhere from $0.10 to $50, which would mean that you’re using $0.01 to $5 on each line.
The best combo that the slot will offer, the Lucky 7s one, will pay 250x the stake for five symbols. Should the reels get filled with the highest paying combinations, possibly with the Joker Wild helping, up to 2,500x the stake could be paid.
You are getting a game where the RTP is at 95% overall, while in Super Spins mode it’s announced at a much better sounding 100%. One has to wonder how much is the RTP of the base game though, if the Super Spins mode contributes that much, and yet the average return is still quite bad.
Gold Star Fruits Slot Features
The game offers the player two modes to play in. The base game mode will have just the regular symbols, which will form combinations when they appear three or more times, either left to right, or right to left.
If a combo with a reward of 4x the stake or more is formed, then you get the option to use your winnings, and pay for Super Spins. It costs 4x the usual stake, for each Super Spin, and up to 50 rounds can be played through. Of course, you also have the option to collect winnings, rather than invest them in Super Spins, but this feature is designed to have a 100% RTP, so that’s where the best chances at a win seem to be.
The extra feature for the Super Spins will come in the form of a wild symbol, a Joker which will have the ability to expand and take over an entire reel. This can make forming a combo a lot easier, and the prizes are higher in this mode as well, so there are good reasons for the player to want to reach it.
Theme & Design
One of the least exciting things about Gold Star Fruits, the classic fruit theme is not only incredibly common these days, but often enough it’s much better designed than we find in Gold Star Fruits. They rely on the classic-style graphics as well here, so it doesn’t even look like a modern release. Among its symbols, you will encounter melons, strawberries, oranges, lemons and cherries.
I think that you can appreciate Gold Star Fruits for what it’s attempting with its Super Spins mode, and the 100% RTP that’s offered there. However, the overall RTP of 95% feels too low, at least compared with the many other slots which are paying back 96% or more.
