Chilli El Toro Slot Machine Review

A mix of Mexican and Spanish heritage appears to have been considered, for the design of Chilli El Toro. The bull is part of it, along with the red rose, but there are also definite Mexican influences on the slot’s graphics. It doesn’t feel like a standard Greentube release, particularly when it comes to graphics, where it does very well.

Chilli El Toro offers 5 reels and a Megaways engine, where you will discover up to 7,200 ways to win (up to 5-6-8-6-5 symbols). It’s not as large as other slot machines of this type, but I’d say that the main issue with it is the 95.12% RTP, not the 4,090x top jackpot. You should look forward to features ranging from Chilli Wilds and Pinata scatters, to free spins that boost wins by as much as 20x.

Your starting point for the wager can’t be lower than $0.50, and the maximum bet doesn’t go higher than $7.50. It’s a limited betting range, all things considered.

Chilli El Toro Game Features

One of the two major feature symbols added to the game, the Chilli is being used as a wild, and so it’s helpful as a substitute when it contributes to new combinations.

As you play the game, you will find that there are three randomly selected symbols shown at the top of the screen, along with a multiplier for each one. This tells you which symbols get a boost for their wins if they manage to form combinations. The multiplier values range from 2x to 25x.

There is also the scatter, with the image of the Pinata. With 3+ present, the game gives you 10 free spins. There is an initial 2x multiplier, and you can increase it several times until it reaches 20x. The way to do this is by retriggering the feature, adding 2-5 more spins and 1x boost to the multiplier. You need to get 2-5 more scatters to make it happen.

Theme & Design

While it’s not an entirely original theme, the mix of Mexican and Spanish elements is well executed, and I enjoyed the overall design. There are Mexican-themed Royals present, but also images of a cactus plant, red rose, tequila, or the bull.

Conclusion

Chilli El Toro's demo looks good and has a popular Megaways engine, but it has some downsides as well. The RTP would be the main one, along with the fairly low top jackpot. Otherwise, a fan of Greentube’s work will find that it’s above average in terms of design.
