Wolf Hunt Slot Machine Review

GameArt is the developer behind Wolf Hunt, a slot machine with a theme that’s getting its inspiration from Native Americans. The focus is mostly on animals, and the way the tribes see them, and they’ve added just the right mix of interesting features, to complement the good design.

The slot was designed with 5x3 reels, along with 25 paylines. As far as top rewards go, you can either get a fixed jackpot worth 1,000x the stake ($125,000), or the regular symbols to form combinations and pay up to $62,500 (500x). The game’s got Medium volatility, along with a 96.10% Return to Player. On its list of features, you will discover Gigantic Symbols, wilds, scatters and free spins.

Betting and Prizes

Placed at the bottom of the game area, the betting options will allow you to vary the amount going to the lines individually, but you have to cover all 25 lines. As you change the wager per line, from $0.01 to $5, the total changes as well, between $0.25 and $125.

There are two types of big rewards that you can land in this game. One is the fixed jackpot, which pays 1,000x the stake, and can mean up to $125,000 cash, depending on the wager of the spin. The other one is also going to vary with the wager value, and it gives you up to 500x the stake, or $62,500, but you need the Moose symbols forming combinations on all lines.

While I doubt anyone will get excited about those top payouts, you have to remember that the slot has Medium volatility, and it’s not unheard of for such games to have smaller rewards. RTP being at 96.10%, we know that the game tends to pay a reasonable amount back.

Wolf Hunt Game Features

First, I’d mention the Wolf Wild, a substitute that you will have as part of all types of regular combinations, but it can’t do anything about the Golden Footprint or the scattered Native American Girl.

Wolf Hunt will also feature Wolf Respins. Those require the presence of Golden Footprint icons, at least six of them on the reels. During the respins which follow, you can get cash prizes or you can land one of the fixed jackpots. You have 3 respins, and the number resets if additional Golden Footprint icons land. You either get coins or empty spots. For the big prize, you need the icons covering all 15 positions.

Via the Native American Girl symbol, the scatter, you can trigger the free spins of this game, 6 rounds in exchange for 3 symbols. What makes these special is the presence of Gigantic Symbols on the middle reels. These can include the scatters and wilds, but the downside is that the payouts are reduced by about 70% for this mode, so it’s not as great of a deal as it might look like at first.

Theme & Design

You have a Native American theme here, which is what a lot of other wildlife inspired games use, whenever the action takes place in North America. Here, we have a scatter symbol with the image of a Native American woman, a Wolf as the wild, a Golden Footprint coin as a bonus symbol, and then regular symbols with Moose, Beaver, Eagle and Snake. Lastly, there are four low value Royals, which don’t provide you with much that I would call exciting.

Conclusion

Wolf Hunt delivers a fun blend of features, and the graphics aren’t too bad for a slot in this category, but I’m not excited enough about the rewards it promises, not for a slot machine which has medium volatility.
