Flaming Hot Extreme is one of the games announced by Euro Games Technology (EGT). They crafted it with a classic theme, but they also added a lot more lines than a typical game of those times would’ve had. Ultimately though, this is not the sort of slot machine that you’d expect to have compete with the top titles launched these days.
EGT designed Flaming Hot Extreme with 5x4 reels and 40 active lines. The game can pay as much as 1,000x the stake, but there will also be several progressive jackpots included, which appear to be part of most slots. When it comes to big features, it has wilds, scatters, free spins or stacked symbols, all of them common in online slots. RTP being at 95%, this is one area where improvement is certainly possible.
There are two ways for you to change the amount that is being wagered inside. One is by changing the amount that the credit/coin is worth, and this one goes up to $1. Second, you have five possible bet values, with just as many Spin buttons attached. You don’t just select a bet of 40, 80, 200, 400 or 800 coins, you also spin the reels at the same time, so be careful not to click on the maximum bet, if you don’t want to actually use it.
The game’s best rewards will be coming from the Lucky 7. Have five of those land on the same line, so that they can create a full 5-symbol combo, and they pay 1,000 coins. Fill the reels with Lucky 7s (and wilds, if there are any around), and a top jackpot of 1,000x the round’s stake will be a possibility.
An alternative comes from the slot’s progressive jackpots, which appear to be included in all EGT slots. This part of the game triggers at random, in the form of a Jackpot Cards bonus.
Unfortunately, we also find that the slot includes a rather low RTP, of 95%. As the average slot will be somewhere near 96%, I’d say that Flaming Hot Extreme has a major disadvantage here.
The game has stacked symbols, so you will find the regular combinations either forming on multiple lines at a time, or often enough not doing it at all. It adds some volatility to the game, but the rewards are better when they do come up.
There is going to be a wild symbol as well, good news for any game, since it’s a feature that everyone expects to have these days. It helps make the game just a bit more profitable, helping regular combinations form on a regular basis. Only the middle three columns will get these wilds though.
As for the scatter symbols, those will be the ones responsible for bringing you the free spins. Dollar Signs appear 3+ times, and give you 10, 20 or 30 free spins.
With 2 to 4 of those Dollar Signs in place, the game gives you a Respin bonus first, in an attempt to give you additional scatters. The scatters are locked during the respin, and your job is to get more.
EGT isn’t the developer to create the best looking slot machines around, and Flaming Hot Extreme is not going to be any different. They crafted a slot machine with a classic fruit theme here, but the design quality is just a little bit than the oldies would’ve had. The symbols they rely on will include the Lucky 7, Dollar Signs, Bar logos, Bananas, Apples, Peach, Grape and Cherries.
Flaming Hot Extreme doesn’t look like much, has below average RTP and only adequate top payouts, so it’s not the best game around. However, fans of older slots might appreciate its land-based casino like design and action.
