Emperors Palace Slot Machine Review

Its action is taking us to the palace of the Chinese Emperor, back in the Middle Ages. It’s not a unique game, and while stacked scatters are far less likely to be found in other slots, overall it’s not the type of title that you’d play for the innovations which it incorporates.

Emperor’s Palace is a slot machine which features 5 reels, along with up to 30 active lines. Wins of up to 1,000x the stake should be decent motivators for players, in a game which also has stacked wilds and scatters, along with free spins, for its only features.

Betting and Prizes

The betting system will incorporate 5 different Spin buttons, each one with a different number of coins used. For the option with all 30 lines active, the wagers allow for the use of 30, 60, 150, 300 or 600 coins, so up to 20 coins are used on each line. Players have the ability to change the coin value as well, from $0.01 to $1. This allows for a betting range of $0.30 to $600.

Emperor’s Palace Game Features

Stacked Dragon Wilds are among the few features that have been incorporated in Emperor’s Palace. The symbol is going to land and cover up to a full reel, but it’s entirely possible for it to take over only one or two positions. On the lines where it is present, the Dragon serves as a substitute which can contribute to the formation of new wins. On its own, with 2 to 5 Dragons aligned left to right on a line, it forms combinations and pays you directly, being the game’s most valuable symbol.

Regular symbols don’t even come close, as the best one offers only 50 coins, so most of your winning combinations are not going to be bringing much.

The one other feature symbol that’s been incorporated, the Yin Yang logo has a zodiac wheel around it. You will find this symbol on the middle three columns, where it lands stacked. A minimum of 7 out of the 9 positions need to be scatters, in order for the free spins to trigger, with 7 to 30 rounds. Unfortunately, you don’t get to retrigger the feature, once you’re in.

Theme & Design

It’s a game that targets an already popular category, filled with Chinese Emperors and associated graphics, and it’s not bringing a lot that would be considered new. It’s the same kind of look as well, with the Emperor, the Empress, Lion Statue, Porcelain Vase, Lotus Flower and the four low value Royals (J to A). Feature symbols show up as icons with Asian Dragons or Yin Yang logos, and they’re both stacked.

It’s not a bad looking game, on the contrary, but it’s not particularly interesting or unique either.

Conclusion

Emperor’s Palace is a game that could be best described as average. It has the same theme as everyone else, decent graphics, and a combination of features that’s relying on popular options which are presented in a slightly different form. To this, we add that the payouts are OK only when you look at the top symbol, with the next one being at 5% of the former’s value.
