5 Burning Heart comes to us via EGT and it is a slot machine that has a classic theme, something that you can still see today in simpler titles. This is basically what you’re going to find in this particular slot machine, a fruit theme with plenty of other classic symbols thrown in.
Moving on to the way the game is played, you have the 5 reels inside, but they are only populated with 5 active lines. There are two types of scatters here, plus wild symbols, but the list of features doesn’t seem to go further than that. Payout wise, you can get back 5,000x from the slot, or you can go after one of the four progressive jackpots that are also available.
Betting and Prizes
The bets in 5 Burning Heart can be placed on 1 to 5 active lines, this being an option that you can change from the area next to the reels. At the bottom, you can find the option to change the coin denomination, along with 5 bet buttons, which have the number of coins on them. The options, for a wager on 5 lines, are to use 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 coins. As you can see, the 5 lines would each get 1 to 20 coins.
As for the rewards that you can expect to get, those will be at 5,000x the line bet at most, if you look at the best paying combinations. As many as 100,000 coins can be won, with a maximum bet and with a combo of five red 7s on one of the few lines at your disposal.
There is also the alternative of the Jackpot Cards, the four progressive jackpots that are offered in a bonus feature with four levels. Each card suit corresponds to a different jackpot value. The bonus feature that triggers the progressives will be triggered at random.
5 Burning Heart Slot Features
Pretty much all the features that are introduced in 5 Burning Heart are going to be considered average in other slots. For example, you have two different scatter symbols here, but they’re both used to trigger cash rewards, not other features. One of them is the Purple Star, which appears on three reels and which will give you a reward of 100x when all of them are visible.
Another scatter is shown as the Dollar Sign, with rewards varying between 25x and 500x, for three, four or five such symbols in various random locations.
Finally, we get to the Burning Heart Wild. As its name suggests, you’re looking at the wild feature in this case. You can see it appear on any of the three middle reels, being used only in other combinations, not its own. It will also not be a replacement for the two scatters.
Theme & Design
Theme wise, the heart might be the one giving the title to the slot, but that’s only one of eleven symbols that are used here. The others are all classic symbols, so a fruit theme would be a better characterization of what you’re looking at. The other two feature symbols show you a Dollar Sign and a Purple Star. As for the regulars, those give you cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, bells, watermelon, grapes and a red 7. They worked enough on those symbols to make them look good, but this is still a below average looking slot if you compare it with any modern release.
5 Burning Heart is a good attempt on EGT’s part, if they wanted to put out a 5 reel slot machine with a classic influence. Don’t expect anything original from it though, it’s not that kind of slot.
