Booongo is designing an entire collection of slots under the Hold and Win umbrella, and the latest addition to the series is a game called Super Marble. It’s more of a casual player’s option, with low to medium payouts, along with a couple of features that we know already, and a fruit theme that’s far from unique.

Super Marble doesn’t look like it’s going to implement too many new features, as it only offers wilds, scatters and the Hold and Win bonus feature, all while delivering wins of up to 1,000x. It doesn’t impress in any other way, and even its setup with 5 reels & 25 paylines is about as common as it can be.

Betting and Prizes

You’re going to select the wager directly, and the starting point is a natural one for a game with 25 lines. A minimum bet of $0.25 is then available, but the upper limit for your bets is a bit more unusual, as you can spend up to $60 per spin, or $2.40 per line.

There are two types of top payouts that you can get in Super Marble. One comes from the bonus feature, which is capable of triggering fixed jackpots worth up to 1,000x the round’s stake ($60,000 cash at most). The other comes from the regular winning combinations, where if the right symbols cover the reels, you could get up to 250x the round’s stake back, so up to $15,000.

Super Marble: Hold and Win Slot Features

The list of features is not going to convince too many people to give the game a try, they’re fairly simple and available in a similar form in other slots from this developer or others.

First, we’re looking at a wild symbol, the one showing off a pair of dice. These are substitute symbols, which you may see stacked on the reels, so at times you will find that entire reels are covered by them. Along with matching regular symbols found on their lines, they can form new combinations, acting as the usual substitutes that are found in most slots. These can’t be used as substitutes for bonus symbols though.

The marble-like symbols, colored in purple and featuring gold numbers on them, will show up fairly often on the reels, but it’s not going to be easy getting the 6+ required to trigger the bonus game. Once it does trigger, the marble symbols are sticky for the feature, in their current positions. Respins follow, where you’re trying to get additional bonus symbols in the positions which don’t have them yet. If that happens, the respins reset, back to the original 3. You either get all 15 bonus symbols, or you get through 3 respins without any new ones, in order to end the feature.

In this mode, you can get a new type of symbol, the red Super Marble. If it shows up, it collects the values from the other regular bonus symbols, and then remains sticky, so it will pay you at the end.

The result can be a cash prize paid, which takes the values from all the bonus symbols. It can also be a fixed jackpot worth 20x (Mini), 50x (Minor) or 1,000x the stake (Grand Jackpot), if you got enough bonus symbols with those jackpot logos.

Theme & Design

The idea to implement a marble-style feature is OK, nothing earth-shattering, but when it comes to the theme and design, you mostly get a fruit-style slot here. It’s got bells, watermelons, plums and oranges, along with four top Royals. Feature symbols include the pair of dice as a wild, and the bonus logo. It’s a modern design, sure, but the theme and the choice of symbols makes it look like they used some cookie cutter template that they already had from other slots.

Super Marble is not the most unique game around, and most of its features should feel familiar to you. It can still work, if you’re a fan of the Hold and Win feature, and if you don’t mind the low potential. In other words, it works best as a game for a casual player, which is not looking to take on a big risk.
