In a series of slots that Booongo is building out, Book of Sun: Choice is the third title that comes out, being an improvement over the others, but in many ways keeping a lot of the things that made the others enjoyable. They’re not changing a lot of things with these slots, and most of them are identical as far as symbols and overall graphics are concerned, but they do improve the slot’s features, and that’s enough to change the experience in a significant way.
Book of Sun: Choice will offer you the same 5 reels and 10 lines as the other slots from the series, and it will have the same top payouts of up to 5,000x the stake as well. This means that a jackpot of $150,000 could be yours, in a game where the RTP is as high as 97.74%. This is a Book-style slot machine, with the expected features, but also with one improvement, the ability to choose your own special symbol for the free spins.
Wagers are selected either from the buttons shown at the bottom, or via a special new screen that opens up when you click on the Coins button. The range that you choose from has $0.20 and $30 for its extreme values.
Payouts are good in a slot machine of this type, that’s always the case, but then again this is also a game with high volatility, where you’re waiting for the free spins to come around, in order to get excellent payouts. The highest that the game will offer, is 5,000x the stake, which for this slot can mean $150,000.
The RTP I’ve seen mentioned at a very healthy 97.74%, which is excellent if true.
As with every other Book of Ra inspired slot machine, the main features are the same ones, and they are proven ways to get players interested in a game. Book of Sun: Choice makes improvements, and they’re very interesting ones, turning this slot into the type you want to consider, even though there are dozens of other options that rely on the same mechanics.
Initially, you are looking at the same mixed wild/scatter symbols, with the Book taking the role of a substitute when present in the required positions, and that of a scatter when appearing a minimum of three times in a spin.
When that happens, the free spins trigger, 12 rounds being offered at the time. The difference comes in the Choice that you’re getting, of picking the special symbol for this feature, something that other games in this category will not allow. These special symbols gain the ability to expand whenever they appear, and to form winning combinations based on the number of reels that are occupied, even if they’re not in consecutive order.
Should the free spins be retriggered, there will be another choice for you to make, and an additional special symbol to use. You can get to a point, where all 9 regular symbols have the ability to expand on the reels.
The theme hasn’t changed much, and it seems that 90% of the Book-style slots out there will have the same Ancient Egypt design that the original game launched with. It’s a decent looking mix of symbols, don’t get me wrong, but all Book of Sun games share those identical symbols, they’re not working too hard to change the graphics in this series.
Book of Sun: Choice will give the player the option to pick his own special symbol for the free spins, and that’s great for the fans of this type of casino game.
