Betting and Prizes

The game is going to be played with 5 active lines, and this isn’t something that you can change. The amount that you’re using for the round’s bet changes from $0.10 to $100. They don’t mention if the slot uses 5 or 10 coins for this, but luckily the paytable is updated to reflect the reward given at the current bet level, so guesswork is taken out of the process.

For the rewards that you can expect, the best winning combinations formed will have the Red 7s in them, and they will pay 150x the stake each, or up to 750x the stake total, when you fill the reels with these symbols. The actual cash value of a prize will reach $15,000 per line, and $75,000 total.

777 Gems Game Features

If there is one thing to know about the features of a classic 3-reel slot machine, is that they typically don’t have any, or they include something very simple, like a wild.

777 Gems will not give you wilds, scatters or any of the usual major features. What you’re left with, is the option to form regular winning combinations, with three matching symbols on the same line.

The only extra ability is the 2x multiplier, which is applied to all wins, if you manage to fill the reels with matching gemstone symbols. These are the low-paying symbols though, paying 7x the stake each, so even with the 2x multiplier applied, you can’t win more than 70x the stake this way. The Red 7 remains the better way to get paid, even without a multiplier.

Theme & Design

The game is a classic, at least theme wise, because the quality of the design clearly marks it as a modern release. The major symbols are older ones, featuring red 7s, bells or Bar logos, while the lower paying icons get four types of gemstones (colored in red, orange, green and purple). The black and red X is the lowest paying symbol that you can get.

The design incorporates a lot of red in it, mostly darker shades, which you’re going to find both for the reels themselves, and for the background image. Overall, I enjoyed the look of 777 Gems, even though it’s showing us the same classic symbols that we’ve seen many times in the past.
