Pirate Booty Slot Machine Review

One more pirate themed slot machine joins a very crowded market, but Pirate Booty manages to surprise anyway, using excellent graphics and new features. If you know Booming Games and the slots they’ve launched so far, you shouldn’t be surprised at what you’re going to get in Pirate Booty.

5x3 reels make up the slot’s game area. You spin them, and you form combinations on 20 active lines. Wins of up to 1,000x total stake are on the line, while the game’s varied list of features includes options like wild reels, scatters, free spins, multipliers or Corner Pays.

Betting and Prizes

Betting in Pirate Booty will be done via the one setting which covers all active lines. The Total Bet option goes up or down, as needed, its range being $0.20 to $400 ($0.01 to $20 per active payline).

The rewards are adequate, the best paying combination offering 50x total stake, so up to $20,000. Get a screen filled with the right symbols, and win up to $400,000. If you also take into account the 2x wild multiplier which is present on reel 3 during the free spins, then the jackpot jumps to 2,000x total stake potential value.

While still not quite impressive, the jackpot is high enough for a slot machine which has been announced as having Medium volatility. It basically means that wins are not that hard to come by, compared with slots which have huge jackpots at least. It all evens out in the end, and the RTP is likely to be at a good level.

Pirate Booty Game Features

Corner Pay is one of the unusual features which are available in Pirate Booty. It involves cornered pirates, which means that you need a pirate in each of the four corners of the game area, to get a reward. The cash prize which comes as a result will be worth 7x total stake. It is not a huge amount, but it’s a new way of getting paid, which is always nice to see.

The Wild Reel is another major part of the game’s features. Appearing on any reel, it can give you three stacked wilds. It appears to be a random feature, which can’t deliver its own wins.

The Treasure Chest is a major target in this game, same as pretty much always. It’s going to be used as a scatter symbol, one that you need to get three times or more, in order to trigger free spins. A wild reel can appear on the 3rd column, with a 2x multiplier in place, to help boost all wins formed during free spins. You can also get random wild reels on the other four columns, but without multipliers.

Up to 15 free spins are available, and you can retrigger the feature as well, additional rounds being offered even in exchange for a single scatter.

Theme & Design

The theme in itself is nothing special, but people do seem to enjoy the pirate life and the treasures which always seem to be their target. You see an excellent design in Pirate Booty, one of many of high quality from this category, but it definitely helps it stand out. The symbols range from Wild logos and treasure chests, to the four pirates, barrels of rum, pirate hats, swords and hooks. It’s 100% themed when it comes to regular symbols, and it’s something that I appreciated about it.
