Slots O’ Gold is a new slot release with an Irish-style design and with the Jackpot King series of progressive prizes to give away. As a Blueprint Gaming release, it should be a game that people are interested in learning more about, so let’s see how it fares.
The game will have 5 reels, with the 10 lines being of the type that will pay both ways. It’s got a disappointing RTP even if you take the progressive jackpot into account, though the top rewards of 1,000x the stake ($500,000) aren’t too bad. As for its features, it offers a wild, re-spins and random symbols.
Betting and Prizes
The betting in Slots O’ Gold has to start from a minimum value of $0.10, which will allow the game to activate all its lines. At the other end of a pretty big range, you’re going to discover a value of $500, which means that per line the bet can reach $50.
Prize wise, you need combinations forming with the Pot of Gold symbol, and possibly with the wild helping out as well. You get paid up to 1,000 coins for each full combo of 5 symbols that’s formed this way, and for a screen filled with expanding wilds and top paying symbols you could even get as much as $500,000.
An alternative would be the prizes coming from the Jackpot King network. There is one progressive jackpot there, along with a Regal Pot and a Royal Pot, which will have smaller values.
There is a major downside in this game as well, and the RTP is clearly that part which doesn’t satisfy. The total is at 93.47%, but this combines the progressive jackpot as well, so it’s even lower for the regular side of the slot.
Slots O’ Gold Slot Features
One of the first things to appreciate in this game is that, even though it has only 10 lines, it will form combinations which start from both left and right, so it’s just a little bit more likely to pay you in the long run.
Wild Leprechauns are also included in the game’s design, and they should be a lot of fun to get. Rainbow Respins get triggered when these wilds cover a reel. The wild becomes sticky, and the respins can continue if additional wilds appear. The middle three reels are the ones allowed to have these stacked wilds on them. You may use these to replace other types of symbols in the game, forming new winning combinations.
Another feature of the game is the one called Rainbow Gold. It’s a symbol which has this logo, and it acts as a mystery position. All these icons which are visible will be transformed into a single random icon. This should get you a lot more chances to get a combo which pays.
Theme & Design
The theme might not be particularly interesting to most players, as it is inspired by Irish leprechauns and items related to their legends, but on the other hand you’re going to discover that it’s a great design that they came up for it. There are none of the boring playing cards or card suits which are used as filler in other slots. Instead, you have the leprechaun, some suitable logos, pots of gold, green hats, toadstools, lucky horseshoes, smoking pipes or four-leaf clovers.
I enjoyed a good part of Slots O’ Gold, and the graphics had a lot to do with it, as did some of the features. I’m not a fan of its low Return to Player though.
