Betsoft is starting off 2022 with a couple of different slot machines, and it looks like they have big plans for this new year. One of those new games that they’re working on at the moment, is the one called Triple Juicy Drops. What they chose to do with it, is mix a classic fruit theme with a cluster pays engine. The end result looks good, even if the theme is not one that I’d typically go after.
Triple Juicy Drops displays 5x5 reels and spin them to form winning combinations through a system that requires you to just have 3+ matching symbols on the same row/column. It’s got some serious power as well, and we can tell from the 20,534x top jackpot that’s possible, even though the RTP is only 95.73%. The features that are most interesting include the wild and potential multipliers for it, along with scatters, free spins, and several Prize Wheels.
It’s going to require your pick of the total bet, and the range of bet values listed goes from $0.30 to $22.
In exchange, that bet can be returned at a very high multiple. Up to 20,534x the stake can be paid after just one round, though some other features would have to be triggered in it, in order to claim that much.
The only issue that I have with Triple Juicy Drops and its way of paying is that the RTP is lower than the amount you’d want. Still, at 95.73%, it’s not that far away from the 96% average, that it would make the slot unplayable.
You create your winning combinations when 3 to 5 symbols are aligned on a row or column. That’s all it takes, they don’t have to start from any of the four sides, they can just be in the middle and still pay.
Once combinations are formed, the drops will come next and will remove the winning symbols. New ones will land in those spots and could bring more wins and even more drops.
A big part of the game is based on the Triple Juicy Drops system. The slot gives you three random symbols, which you need to collect in order to trigger one of the Prize Wheels (Mega, Super, or Mini versions). These need to be collected all in a single spin, but you can use multiple drops to get them all. 5, 15, or 25 symbols are required, to get those Prize Wheels. The exact symbols which are needed will change after 20 spins.
Once triggered, the Prize Wheel will spin for the player. Multiple Prize Wheels can be activated in a single spin.
In addition to regular symbols, you will also find that Triple Juicy Drops has wilds for you to use. These are substitutes, and if they end up forming combinations by themselves, they pay as much as the top symbol would.
Wilds can be added to the reels by the game after you form a combo of 5 symbols. You can get 2-3 of them with multipliers if you have both a column and a row with 5 symbol combos at the same time. If the wins intersect, then you could get up to 5 wilds, where multipliers go up to 3x from each one.
A free spins feature is going to be included, and it triggers either via 3 to 5 scatters (10 to 15 rounds) or through the Prize Wheel’s spin. In this mode, you can get multiplier wilds, boosting wins by up to 3x. There are some downsides as well, such as the lack of Prize Wheels in this mode, or the fact that you can’t retrigger the free spins.
It’s not much of a theme, just a classic fruit one, but the implementation is very good. The graphics are excellent, as modern as you’d want them to be these days, so if you enjoy looking at something pretty and you don’t mind the fruit symbols, then Triple Juicy Drops is a good choice.
There are a lot of familiar symbols on those reels, and they start with the cherries, continuing with bananas, raspberries, plums, grapes, lemons, oranges, watermelons, and then top-paying Diamonds.
Triple Juicy Drops is going to give the player a good selection of special features and interesting mechanics, so while the theme is a classic one, the actual experience doesn’t have anything in common with what you got from those older online slots.
