Return to Paris Slot Machine Review

Return to Paris is one of the upcoming slot machines that have been announced by Betsoft. It looks like a sequel to another very popular game in their portfolio, which was called A Night In Paris. It’s been more than a decade since the release of that game, which still looks amazing, and luckily it looks like the sequel is just as interesting.
You’re going to find a setup with 5x3 reels, which gets 20 active paylines. A top jackpot that’s worth 1,056x the stake is ultimately your target in Return to Paris, and the slot has a 96.06% RTP, along with medium volatility. Its special features give us the Stolen Treasures mechanic, along with multipliers, Wild Explosions, and the Mona Lisa Free Spins.
Return to Paris Betting and Prizes
A minimum bet in Return to Paris will require only $0.20 for the next spin, while the maximum one will be worth $100.
What this slot doesn’t do well, is the delivery of awesome prizes, the kind that would inspire players to give it a chance. The best that it can do in a single spin, is 1,056x the stake, and that could mean a jackpot of $105,600 at most.
On the other hand, this is also a game with a high hit frequency, of 45.81%, which tells us what percentage of all the spins will be winners, as a long-term average. With medium volatility, it promises a Return to Player of 96.06%.
Return to Paris Game Features
A lot of the action in Return to Paris will come from its use of the Stolen Treasures mechanic. It involves the appearance of Robber symbols, which will have two outcomes, depending on whether there is a Guard nearby or not.
If the Robber is on his own, with no guards next to it, then it will pick a symbol. The bar with Stolen Treasures, from the bottom, will get a multiplier next to that particular symbol, which just got stolen by the thief. The multiplier will keep increasing whenever a Robber steals that particular object.
The Robber is then replaced with a random symbol, which can’t be one of the feature triggers. Special symbols are removed, and others are brought in, for a new chance at getting paid.
There is also the situation when the Guard is the one to land on the reels, without a Robber nearby. The Guard selects a symbol that is adjacent to it and brings it back to the museum, which gets you a prize worth as much as a 3-symbol combo of that type. Multipliers are also applied if they had accumulated up to that point.
Once again, the Guard is the one replaced with a regular symbol now, and the winning combinations are removed for new symbols to be brought in.
In the eventuality that you can get both a Guard and a Thief to land next to each other, on the same row or reel, then a Wild Explosion will occur. The triggering symbols, and the adjacent positions, will be turned into wilds.
Mona Lisa Free Spins can be triggered through special scatters, which you need to get on reels 2-4. It’s not quite unlimited, but you can have as many as 1,000 free spins in total if the conditions are right.
You’re starting things off with a Robber in the top left corner, and a guard in the bottom right corner, so they’re on opposite sides of the game area. They move in random directions each round, leaving different symbols behind them, which could lead to additional wins.
The two characters will do the same things as in the base game, one stealing items and increasing multipliers, while the other returns them to get you prizes.
The free spins only end when you get the Guard to land nearby the Robber, catching him.
Theme & Design
Return to Paris is an impressive sequel for the other Paris robbery-themed slot by Betsoft, and the graphics are even better than in the first release. We’re seeing the cafes and streets of Paris in the background, at night, with the Eiffel Tower lights on under a full moon.
On the reels, you’re going to discover a selection of Royals initially, between J and A, along with various art objects from Parisian museums, including here pottery, statues, crowns, diamonds, and Mona Lisa (scatter). A Wild is used, as are the Guard and Robber feature symbols.
Conclusion
I really enjoyed Return to Paris, and it’s one of the more accessible slot games that you’re going to find at casinos right now. While its rewards are low by comparison with many others, it has medium volatility, a good RTP, and gorgeous graphics.
