Primal Hunt Slot Review & Free Demo Game

Primal Hunt Slot Machine Review

The nostalgia of simpler times, will often come with the knowledge that it’s better in our era than in the distant past, and so Primal Hunt will appeal to us on one side, same as a lot of other slots which take the action to the caves of those using stone tools. The presence of cave lions on those reels will remind us why we’re doing a lot better these days, even though we’re not as carefree as the people of the past. Betsoft Gaming gives us an idea of what the life of the cavemen was like, in Primal Hunt.

They designed Primal Hunt with 5x4 reels, on which you will discover an impressive number of lines, 80 of them in total. The slot’s going to have scatter symbols, free spins, expanding symbols, wilds with multipliers, enough to turn the game into something enjoyable. They couple these features with a high volatility gameplay, but then they add a jackpot of up to 4,420.3x the stake ($88,406), while the RTP ends up at 96.10%.

Betting and Prizes

A wager between $0.10 and $20 will be selected for each spin. These options are all listed at the bottom, so you just pick a value that you want to use, to cover all 80 lines.

For the slot’s payouts, up to 4,420x the stake is offered apparently, with a value of $88,406 for the highest wager. It’s a decent level, for a slot machine which has been described as having medium-high volatility. The RTP is also right, at 96.10%, it shouldn’t be an issue for anyone.

To give you an idea of the kind of experience you will get, the hit frequency figure tells us that about 1 in 7 rounds (14.33%) is a winner during paid spins, though about 46.69% of all free spins will bring you prizes. Clearly, the dry spells will be coming during the regular rounds, and your target is to reach the free spins (1 in 159 rounds triggers them, on average).

Primal Hunt Game Features

Free spins are going to be available in this game as well, to be triggered via scatters landing three times on the reels. The image is that of the Hunting Cave Lion, a scatter which lands 3, 4 or 5 times, to trigger 8 to 20 free spins, and to also pay a prize.

The 2x or 3x Wild Multiplier will be of great use to you, when you can get it to appear and lend a hand (possible for the free spins only). You get to use these as substitutes, improving not just the number of wins that are formed, but also their value. These appear on the middle reels, and if several contribute to a combo, they multiply each other, giving a potential boost of up to 27x to wins.

Of note here, is also the Cave Lion symbol, which appears stacked and capable of covering a full reel.

Theme & Design

Primal Hunt is all about the distant past, the first few steps that humanity has taken over the course of its relatively short history. We’re looking at the cavemen of the Stone Age, at some of their tools (Spear, Axe), but also the cave lions that prayed on them. Other symbols come either with various stones which have drawings on them (horses, antelopes, mammoths, bison), or with crude Royals, made out of stone and tied with rope. Excellent design, and even the Royals end up looking somewhat appropriate for this theme.

Conclusion

Primal Hunt slot is one of the more interesting options that Betsoft has designed for its veteran players. The higher risk involved with it, will make it unsuitable for those looking to just have some fun, but those willing to try it out anyway will get their chance at a decent top jackpot of over 4,400x the stake.
