By landing one of these symbols on the reels, a feature will trigger which will place multiple wild symbols in a certain direction. The Swordsman triggers a magical vertical beam, so you get the wilds either above or below the triggering symbol. The Shieldmaiden does the same thing, but horizontally, so you get wild symbols to the left or the right.
The two features can intersect, but for this to happen you need both types of wilds appearing and sending their beams in a way that would make that possible. When two beams intersect, one vertical and the other horizontal, the player receives 10 free spins. The wild where the two beams intersected will be kept in that spot as a locked substitute for all those rounds. You can retrigger the feature and if that happens then there will also be additional clingy wilds formed.
The wild symbols on which this game relies can form combinations and they can substitute for each other, so a combo that pays the jackpot can have multiple types of wilds in it.
The graphics in Fire & Steel are looking high-end, but they’re not as good as in other Betsoft slot machines which have a more cinematic experience to offer. It’s still a great game design-wise, but now it’s more in line with what everyone else is offering. The theme, which relies on the fire of the dragons and on the steel of the warriors, has a dark look to it. As symbols, you have the warriors, there are shields, a king’s crown, books, goblets, helmets, daggers, and five multi-colored gemstones.
Fire & Steel is a fine new addition to the family of Betsoft slot machines, with a feature list that is mostly based on the wilds.
