Alkemors Elements Slot Machine Review

One of the next few slot machines that are prepared by Betsoft, is a magic-themed title called Alkemor’s Elements. The inspiration for it is clear, as Betsoft has released another slot machine in this series already, in 2015, and it was called Alkemor’s Tower. They’re finally coming around to launching a sequel for it, so we’re going to see Alkemor the magician once again, in a more modern form and with some interesting features to keep the series going.

Alkemor’s Elements will propose a fairly large setup, but they’re only giving us 25 paylines for the 5x4 reels that are used. It doesn’t have the best RTP around, only 95.45% gets back to players, and one area where it suffers, as a result, is the top jackpot, which pays only 1,200x the stake. Expect to find certain useful features in there, such as elemental wilds, or free spins which are powered by four types of elemental spells (modifiers).

Betting and Prizes

It’s going to be a bit more expensive than most at its lowest level, requiring $0.50 each round. It can be an option for a high roller as well, given its upper bets of $200.

Alkemor’s Elements doesn’t pay all that much, it only has a 1,200x jackpot for its players to go after. That wouldn’t be a real issue for most slot machines, but as the RTP is at 95.45% here, the average player will get lower odds of making a profit from this game.

Alkemor’s Elements Game Features

You play these slot machines in Elemental Cycles, as they call them. These are sets of 10 paid spins, that you go through, collecting the four types of Elemental Wilds along the way (up to 5 of each can be collected). The cycle ends with an Elemental Wild Spin, provided that you got at least 1 wild-collected along the way.

Elemental Wilds have four variants, corresponding to the elements obviously. They are available as Earth, Fire, Air, and Water Wilds. They’re substitutes when they show up, but they also get collected for that final round.

The dominant Elemental Wild, which was collected most often, will decide how many free spins you get, and which of the four modifiers will be active for it. If there are wilds that were collected the same number of times, then the game picks one of them to be active for each round.

The modifiers that are available include:

• Fire: up to 4 reels are covered by Fire Wilds.
• Water: 4 to 6 Water Wilds will be randomly placed, after which 4-5 will move by one position, first to the right, then to the left.
• Air: 4 to 6 Air Wilds will be placed at random, and then 4-5 will spread by one position in a random direction.
• Earth: 6 to 10 Earth Wilds are placed in random locations.

There are also regular free spins that you can get, via 3-5 Key scatters. Between 8 and 12 free rounds are offered then, and for each one there will be a random Elemental modifier active. You are not able to retrigger this feature.

The option to buy access to the free spins is there if you’re willing to pay 56x the stake, in exchange for 12 rounds in this feature.

Theme & Design

Alkemor’s Elements follows the wizard once again, and this time we’re getting a look at his elemental magic. The action is set inside his lab, and we see Alkemor on the left side of the screen, holding a vial with some kind of potion. The reels are designed to look like a library, with the symbols landing on the shelves. It’s got an excellent design, a typical one for Betsoft actually.

The initial five Royals, 10 to A, are not that impressive, but they look the part thanks to their metallic construction. The next ones range from the Yin Yang logo to bowls with green liquids, orbs, Sun/Moon cards, scrolls, weighing scales, green crystals, owls, and Alkemor himself.

Conclusion

Alkemor’s Elements looks like an appealing option, mainly because of its excellent graphics and unique features. The top payouts don’t give you much of a motivation to get past the low RTP though.
