As a simple game, with a classic fruit theme and a small layout, Hot Fruits Deluxe doesn’t look like the most interesting release in the world, but I’m sure that there are enough players out there willing to give it a try so that Amatic’s efforts with it will not be in vain.
Hot Fruits Deluxe is a game with only 3x3 reels, on which they’ve added 5 active lines. The game’s not going to offer us much in the way of features, but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing. You still get a multiplier which will apply to certain moments, and the rewards obtained inside will get you paid up to 800x the stake of that spin. RTP is at 95%, there is definitely room for improvement in certain areas.
Looking at the game’s bets, you are able to modify them as you see fit, changing the number of lines used, from 1 to 5, but also deciding on the total bet directly. The range mentioned inside is between $10 and $3,000, for all lines active.
Now, if we look at the kind of reward that one can expect in this slot, the top prize will come via Hot Fruits logos, when forming combinations on all five lines. This gets you a prize of up to 160x the stake per line and up to 800x per spin. It’s an adequate top reward, and I’m sure that plenty of players are OK with it, but the RTP being at 95%, we know that they could’ve done a lot better as well. The return being below average, the game doesn’t look as good anymore.
Hot Fruits Deluxe will not stray away from the classic path here. It has a very simple main feature to offer, and it’s the only one you get, so there isn’t a lot to explore in this case.
That main feature is a 2x multiplier which will apply only in some very rare cases. You basically need for a full screen of matching symbols to appear, so that the game can double the wins for all 5 combinations that would result. Only the five lowest paying symbols will benefit from this multiplier when there are 9 of the same type in view. The symbols allowed are four fruits (cherries, lemons, oranges, and plums), along with the golden bell. A fifth fruit, the Melon, is not included on this list.
Other than that, you don’t get wilds, scatter, or any of the usual features.
Hot Fruits Deluxe will suggest the theme it offers right from the title. The fruit theme will provide you with 5 of the 9 symbols present on the reels. You get the cherry, lemon, orange, plum, bell, melon, star, lucky 7, and the game logo, on that list. With fire-like orange and red colors for the background, and with mostly basic-looking symbols on its 3 reels, the game is far from an impressive sight.
Hot Fruits Deluxe gives us an older type of design and theme, only one somewhat interesting feature, and overall it’s simpler than a lot of other classic titles available right now. Some will like it, others not so much, but ultimately the biggest downside with it is that 95% RTP. You can clearly find better than that.
