About the Database
All the data that was used in this document, was obtained between 03:00 and 04:00 AM, on January 3rd, 2022. You should understand that a certain deviation is possible because the parsing of thousands of videos needs an hour to complete.
Our Streamers Database has 259,135 videos, which were viewed 3,505,994,381 times, liked 69,874,006 times, and have a total of 9,458,007 comments. The overall length of all these videos was over 86,732 hours.
The History of Gambling Streamers on YouTube
The first video was published on 09.12.2007 by ARPLATINUM, but this video is not gambling-related (2007 LEAF ROOKIES AND STARS FOOTBALL BOX BREAK BUST).
The first gambling-related video was published on 07.10.2008 by Mr. SlotsBoom and it was called Wizard of Oz Casino Slots game in casino. This is the oldest gambling-related streamer in the NSG database, which continues to publish videos to this day. He is the 26th in the NSG Global Rating and the 19th in the Offline Streamers Rating for 05.01.22.
Graphic 1. The number of new videos from gambling streamers for each year
There are a total of 58,792 videos that were published in 2021 by the streamers from our database and this accounts for 22.7% of all videos published since 2007.
Graphic 2. The number of streamers that published at least one video by year
The graphic of the new gambling streamers and bloggers joining YouTube is very similar.
But what is especially interesting, is the number of new videos per streamer, by year.
Graphic 3. Average and Median number of videos, published by streamers each year
As we wrote earlier, the first gambling-related videos started being published in 2008. Up to 2011, we can’t observe any strong tendencies in this sector. The differences between the average and median values tell us that most channels didn’t publish a lot of new videos and that a small number of streamers generated most of the new content.
In 2012 we noticed practically a 3-times growth of the average number of videos per streamer and over 4.7 times growth of the median. This is the first indication of major growth. The average streamer started to publish more clips.
For the next 2 years, the average number of videos continues to grow, but the median is at a stable level. We can conclude that creators are working on their business, and they’re growing their share of the YouTube gambling market.
The second big growth phase happened in 2015. We’d like to name this a phase of growth in quality because the average number of videos didn’t increase, but the median went up to 80 videos per streamer. It’s a number that tells us that most streamers started to create more new content and that the competition in the industry increased.
Since 2017, the median number has been growing. The gambling niche has continued to increase, and its authors were forced to work harder, to keep their viewers with the help of new and original content.
Our assumption about the quality boost in the middle of 201X is illustrated by graphic number 4 – where you can see the average length of videos, by year of publication.
Graphic 4. The average length of the video, by year of publication
From 2007 to 2015, the median length of gambling videos on YouTube was 2:50 minutes. In 2016 we see the start of the growth for this metric, and it’s getting up to 27:07 minutes in 2021. Streamers not only started to create more videos, but the average length has increased as well.
Based on this data we can conclude that it only took 7-8 years for the industry to start growing massively, starting from the very first videos published in 2007 – 2008, and getting to the streamer videos that became a massive trend in 2015 – 2016.
What about the audience though. Did the number of YouTube visitors for these channels increase, and how much time did they spend watching gambling-related videos?
An important note about graphics 5 and 6: they are based on the data of all views for videos, released for the corresponding year. If a video was published in 2015, and the viewer saw it in 2021, then the view will be recorded in the year when the video was published. Don’t forget that these two charts are designed to illustrate trends.
Graphic 5. Total views of all videos, released in a given year
The graphic suggests that the supply from visitors and demand from streamers meet in 2016. Gambling-related videos that were released in 2021 from streamers and bloggers that we’re tracking, were viewed a total of 859,957,926 times!
Graphic 6. Average views per video, for releases in a given year
Chart 6 is important for authors – for the last 4 years, the average number of views per video stopped growing, and it reached 14,627 views in 2021. We think that the reason is that there are a lot of new videos posted every day, and viewers have not been able to keep pace with all this content.
YouTube Gambling Streamers in 2021
58,792 videos were published on the YouTube channels of 271 authors, that we track. Overall, these videos were viewed 859,957,926 times, have 27,867,072 likes, and have a total of 2,906,238 comments. If you would try to watch all these streams, you would need 2 years, 335 days, 18 hours, 35 minutes, and 50 seconds. Without taking a vacation, eating, or sleeping!
The next part of our research is for the key parameters of videos, which were published in 2021.

- 16,370 videos (27.8%)

Graphic 7. The share of views for all videos that were published by streamers on YouTube channels in 2021
We categorize the authors, based on the topics of their channels, into 3 groups:
- Offline streamers – they create content in real brick-and-mortar casinos
- Online streamers – who devote their channels to online casinos and games
- Lottery and Scratch Cards
One streamer can participate in 1-2-3 categories, as authors publish a wide range of videos regularly. For example, the Stop and Step.

TOP 10 YouTube Offline Gambling Streamers in 2021
Offline streamers are popular in countries where brick-and-mortar casinos are legal: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany. But the 9 TOP popular streamers in 2021 are from the USA and only All Casino Action (Slotlady) is from Canada. We assume that Las Vegas and the local gambling culture are the main reasons for these results.

TOP 10 YouTube Lottery & Scratch Cards Streamers in 2021
Lottery games are popular around the world, as they are different from one country to the next, and only a small number of lotteries have global coverage. This is the reason why most of the lottery streamers are only popular in their own countries. But even so, the top YouTube channels in this category have tens of millions of views and thousands of subscribers.
Graphic 12. Top popular lottery and scratch cards streamers by views of YouTube videos, published in 2021
- ARPLATINUM – this is the streamer with the oldest channel on YouTube, from our database. But he didn’t start his channel as gambling-related initially. He is the second in all-time lottery streamers rating and first place for 2021.
- Fixin To Scratch – YouTube blogger that plays scratch cards and offline slot machines. He is at 35th place in the overall lottery rating, and in 2nd place for 2021. The channel was established in 2011.
- Get Rich or Die Scratching – This is an author with a young channel – it was founded in 2019 and it grew fast. It's #6 in the all-time lottery streamers Rating and #3 for 2021. If 2022 is as successful, its author will have the opportunity to stay at #3 in the Rating.

Conclusion
This is the first streamer's research from NewSlotGames and we’d like to make it better in 2022. Our next steps are to:
- Expand the streamer's database with strong local authors
- Expand the number of metrics
- Provide monthly reports
We think that it can be interesting for streamers and the industry. If you have ideas, offers, or comments, feel free to contact us.
