Thunderkick Slots

Thunderkick’s story started out in 2012, when they were founded. They began with a philosophy that allowed them to improve the experience of the players that give their slot machines a try, innovating in places where other developers haven’t bothered going. The developer has its offices in Sweden and Malta, and they’re entirely focused on the creation of slot machines at the moment, so they have no other type of game to offer. There are hundreds of gaming sites that offer their content, and it’s all thanks to their dedication and to the quality of the designs they tend to create.

Thunderkick

The gaming license that Thunderkick uses is either from UK or from Malta, with additional certifications obtained in multiple jurisdictions. They plan to continue expanding into regulated markets, and to do it at a fairly aggressive pace. You shouldn’t have to look too far, to find their games. Some of the biggest branded casinos in the world use them. They’re focusing on instant play content, so there is nothing to download, you play their games directly from the browser or on a mobile phone.

History

The company doesn’t have a very long history behind it, being founded in 2012. In about half a decade, they managed to design two dozen slot machines, so rather than go for big numbers, they preferred focusing on quality. Even with that small catalogue of slot machines, they still managed to be part of the offer at hundreds of high end casinos, which is a testament to the kind of work that they do.

Thunderkick Casino Games

The only types of games that Thunderkick is going to give you will be the slot games, modern titles that are a pleasure to play through. The type of design and features that are available in their slots show that they’re a modern company that tries to stand out through innovation, rather than through huge numbers of games that are just clones with different graphics. Currently, the company has ~40 slot machines created, with a good range of themes, with different types of layouts and features.

The latest games that were released by Thunderkick have proven how committed they are to giving the player something they haven’t had before, and to improving their existing content. Their most recent game is Full Moon Romance, a retro game with advanced features. The previous one was a redesign of the popular Barber Shop, which they turned into Barber Shop Uncut, a game that was just a few years old yet they decided to improve. The game before it was called Flame Busters, and it offered an 8 bit design and an arcade style look that looked good even though it is not a standard image for a slot.

Among the themes that they’re usually going with, you will find mostly unique or rare choices that they made, so they’re not the kind of developer to put out Ancient Egypt, Irish or Chinese themed slot machines, at least not more than once. Some games that they worked on are a bit more classically inspired, and here you have slots like Zoom or Fruit Warp. There are two where you get ice cream in the main role, with unique reel formations. Finally, there are slots like The Rift, Luchadora or Babushkas, where the themes chosen were unique and extremely well handled.

Graphics

The graphics that are offered in Thunderkick slot machines tend to be among the best that you can find these days, though there are a couple of elements that could be improved. Their use of Royal cards makes their slots less interesting than they could be, based on the symbols that are properly chosen and designed. The rest of the graphics are always high end, and a pleasure to look at while you’re spinning those reels. Among my favorite games of theirs, based on the graphics, I would mention Babushkas and 1429 Uncharted Seas.

Features

The available features tend to be even bigger strengths for the Thunderkick slot machines, than the graphics, though that might be hard to believe. I’ve noticed that they’re always using great features, starting with expanding wilds, scatters, free spins, stacked symbols that can transform, Clone features, upgradeable symbols and various other interesting symbols, many of them unique to certain titles of theirs only.

Payouts

A payout that is considered normal in a Thunderkick slot machine will have a value of $1,000 or more, sometimes even getting up to $5,000. A multiplier might help out at times, such as in Frog Grog, where you can get up to $7,000 that way, up from the base payout of $1,000.

I’m not sure how much of an incentive you will have to play if you look at the jackpot alone, but keep in mind the average RTP as well, which is actually good in the majority of the slots from Thunderkick. They have a large number of titles where the RTP is at 97%, while the others are mostly above 96%. Actually, I only know of one game of theirs, Babushkas, that is below 96%, but even that game is close at 95.80%.
