Dancing Wins Slot Review
|Betting Range (€/$)||0.50 - 250|
A brand new slot from RTG, Dancing Wins is one of several games that we’re seeing with an 80s inspired design. It’s the disco music scene of the time, that is getting us the symbols on the reels, and of course they have a lot to do with beautiful women, music instruments and various devices used to listen to music. Well enough made, but with some downsides because of the way its volatility is coupled with the bigger rewards, where the cap appears to be placed way too low.
In a slot machine with 5 reels which will spin, you find a total of 50 active lines. The game experience is enhanced with the help of various features, including here the wilds with 3x multipliers, along with scatters and free spins. Unfortunately, even though the volatility is set to High, the payouts are limited to 1,000x the stake (50,000x the line bet), so it doesn’t look good on that front.
Betting and Prizes
You’re going to have to spend a minimum of $0.50 per spin, with 50 coins of $0.01 being the absolute minimum that you can use for the purpose. You take up the wager, if you want to, up to a maximum of $250.
In a slot whose volatility appears to be very high, at least based on the figures given by the developer, having a top jackpot of only 1,000x the stake is disappointing, to say the least. It’s a potential win of up to $250,000, yes, but the return on your investment is not good enough, considering the amount of risk involved in the short run.
Dancing Wins Slot Features
A pink Wild logo is the one you’re going to want to see often in view. Its combinations of up to 5 symbols can pay as much as 8,888 coins, which is impressive. You only need a couple of lines to have this particular combo fully covering them, and you already hit the game’s maximum potential for a single spin. More often than not, the wild is going to be used as a replacement in regular wins though. Even then, a 3x multiplier is applied to all combinations created with a wild’s help.
The one symbol which will not be replaced with a wild, is the scatter. Showing a Disco Ball, this symbol is going to get you paid even with 2 locations covered in view, but you need 3 to 5 in order to trigger the free spins.
Multiplying Winnings Free Games is a rather fancy name, but it works, and can be quite interesting. The number of triggering scatters will decide how many free spins you get, along with the starting multiplier. You can start with 8, 18 or 88 free spins, and get an initial multiplier at 1x or 2x. Retrigger the feature, and you only get 3 additional spins, along with a 1x boost to the multiplier (limit is at 10x).
Theme & Design
It’s inspired by the disco scene of the 80s and 90s, but it doesn’t have the design quality of slots from those times, which is something that we can only appreciate. You get plenty of neon style icons, including a pink Wild logo, the multi-colored Disco Ball scatter, while regular symbols feature five dancing ladies, along with a bunch of other themed icons (record player, boom box, electric guitar, headphones, microphone and sunglasses).
Dancing Wins slot looks good enough overall, but I doubt too many players will love it. Looking at the volatility involved, and at the potential wins of up to 1,000x, I’d say that they’re wasting all those cool features and multipliers (up to 10x), when the cap is set to such a low amount.
