Does the idea of a party in the jungle sound great to you? Well, so does to Rival Gaming, and in Party Parrot they decided to build an entire story around a character called Pete, which is joined on the reels by all sorts of birds, not all of them jungle born.
What Rival came up with here is a slot that has 25 pay lines, 5 reels and which promises to pay up to $1,875 in its best combinations. The list of features has not just regular wilds and free spins, but also sticky wilds and respins, so it already looks pretty interesting.
Betting and Prizes
To set up a bet in a slot with 25 fixed lines, like this one is, you have to consider only the amount that goes into each one. In this case, you get the choice of using up to 10 coins for one line, with the denomination ranging from $0.01 to $0.25. You are allowed to spend as little as $0.25 and you still get the reels to spin, but there is the option to go up to $62.50 per spin as well.
If you check out the paytable, the best winning combo that a regular symbol can deliver will pay you 750x back, which for a slot with this wager system can mean at most $1,875, out of 7,500 coins. The theoretical RTP is not that brilliant either, paying at 93.74%, but of course your mileage may vary since you’re playing short-term not long-term.
Party Parrot Slot Features
You get several cool features in Party Parrot, though none of them are actually unique or unheard of.
It starts with a directionally expanding wild, the one showing you the image of the green, blue and yellow parrot. This one is capable of expanding in a single direction, up or down, when it appears on one of the reels. It doesn’t cover the full reel if it’s not in a position at one of the extremes and expanding in the other direction. This one is going to be used as the standard replacement symbol, which you can have as part of a lot of winning combinations. Only two reels will get it, so you’re not going to have it present in view as often as you might like. Those two reels are the 2nd and the 4th ones.
The scatters are there as well, showing you the image of an egg with a party hat on it. Have these appear anywhere on screen, 3 to 5 times, and expect to get from them 5 to 20 spins for free. For the free spins in question, you’re going to have additional sticky wilds at your disposal. Get these to appear and they will remain in their positions for a number of re-spins, which can continue for as long as you have new wins formed thanks to those wilds.
Theme & Design
The party theme can be quite enjoyable when done right, and in Party Parrot you’re looking at a cast of birds from all over the world, though the majority do come from the jungle. There are several types of parrots among the symbols, there are images of eggs that are wearing party hats, plus penguins, toucans, flamingos and pelicans. They didn’t forget about the standard playing cards either, so there are five of them present. It’s a cartoonish design, but a fun one and it fits quite well with the party theme.
Party Parrot can be a fun game if you look at graphics and features alone, but the low theoretical RTP will make it lose a lot of players, despite its pros.
