Juicy Jewels has been designed by Rival Gaming and it offers us a candy inspired look, with the symbols to prove it. The candy theme is not a new one, and the competition is strong in that category, but the slot we have here feels a bit different from its competitors.
In Juicy Jewels, the player will spin 5 reels and on them he will have combinations form via 243 ways to win. There are features inside that include sticky wilds and re-spins, but that’s about it for this side of the game. You can get paid up to $1,250 through the best combinations that the slot can deliver.
Betting and Prizes
Given the ways to win system that is used here, the fact that you’re going to have to use a number of fixed lines for the bet shouldn’t come as a surprise. You will get 30 lines in this case, for which you may select as many as 10 coins per line. The value of those coins is also up for changing, if you want to, the range for its denomination being between $0.01 and $0.25. Like in a lot of other slot machines from Rival, you will have wagers of up to $2.50 per line. The total for this game can reach $75, while the minimum you can spend to get the reels spinning will require a $0.30 investment.
The symbol with the Gold Star is the one you want on all five reels, forming a combination just by being on consecutive reels, starting from the left. They will pay you up to 500x, which means at most 5,000 coins, with a cash value of $1,250. We’ve been told the slot’s average RTP as well, which is apparently set to 94.74%. It’s not a great RTP, but for Rival Gaming it feels like a pretty normal choice.
Juicy Jewels Slot Features
Looking at the features of Juicy Jewels, it’s the area where I wish they did the most work, because as it stands all you get from it is a sticky wild that has the ability to trigger re-spins. Being the only feature symbol present inside, the Sticky Wild is going to substitute for any other symbol, no exceptions. You can form combinations that have wilds in them just by having them on the reel where another one is missing, since there are no fixed lines for symbols to be on.
The Sticky Wild has an extra role that its name actually hints at. Wild symbols that manage to help you form a new win are going to become sticky as a result, triggering a re-spin for the rest of the game’s positions. Land new wild symbols at this point, and the re-spins can continue with all these sticky icons in place.
Theme & Design
The theme of the game is not a very elaborate one. As you can figure out, it’s a candy themed slot machine, but it also has a jewels inspiration for some of its symbols. The list of symbols starts with a gold star, which will pay the most. Next, you will have symbols with jewels that get candy shapes and colors like blue, green, red, orange or purple. They rely on six poker logos as well, for the symbols that have lower payouts to give away. I’d say that it’s a decent looking slot machine, but it’s not going to win any prizes for its design.
Juicy Jewels is not a game with a lot to offer. It doesn’t have a great looking theme, a long list of features or a high RTP, so you should have no trouble finding better games out there, even at this particular developer.
