Mayan Gods Slot Machine
The Mayan Gods were beings that came from outer space, aliens coming down in flying saucers if Red Tiger Gaming is to be believed. It’s not quite how history mentions the Mayans, but for the purposes of this slot machine it makes for a good story and the action can be enjoyable.
In the game, there are 5 reels and 20 lines, which is a very common choice for developers. There are four Mayan Gods, including Mayan King Wilds, a Mayan Eclipse, Mayan UFO and the Mayan Shaman, along with Mayan Chain Reactions with multipliers and respins. Multipliers help boost the wins, and they reach a maximum potential of 50,000 coins, or $25,000.
Betting and Prizes
Like other games with higher volatility that Red Tiger Gaming has been releasing lately, it’s got a smaller betting range, probably so that the casinos aren’t exposed too much. The smallest wager available is $0.20, while the maximum only reaches $10. That gives you a line bet of $0.01 to $0.50 to use.
The regular wins of up to 500x from the base game can increase in value thanks to multipliers that various features are offering. You could get up to 50,000x in a single round, or as much as $25,000. A 2,500x the stake potential payout isn’t a bad reward to be looking forward to.
Mayan Gods Slot Features
A winning combination will have its symbols replaced with new tiles, triggering a respin at the same time, while increasing the multiplier. These can really add up, and the wins can get to much higher values overall after a couple of respins.
The Jaguar is your wild feature in Mayan Gods. The symbol appears and most of the time it contributes to other combinations, if it’s useful to you that round. The only situation where it can pay something is when it occupies all five symbols on a line, at which point you get the 500x top reward.
As for the Mayan Gods, one of the four present in the game is the Mayan King. A 2x2 wild symbol, it can also add extra wilds to the reels when it appears.
Another is the Mayan Eclipse icon, which also occupies 2x2 positions. It’s a mystery symbol, which is transformed into another random icon. It can also turn other symbols into that same random icon.
A Mayan UFO, when it appears, will replace symbols of low value with others that are considered high-paying.
The Mayan Shaman will increase the win, using a multiplier for this, after which it destroys the symbols and grants you a respin.
As you can see, there are several options available to you, which allow for wins to be increased in some way. It might be wilds, mystery symbols or respins, but they all contribute to a higher chance of forming multiple wins at the same time.
Theme & Design
The theme is based on a theory that the gods of the Mayans were actually aliens, and though not a very likely scenario in this case it makes for a great story. The slot relies on images of gods or their UFOs, while in other symbols you might see a jaguar, jewelry, representations of birds, pyramids or the Sun, with lowest paying positions having nature’s elements (fire, water, wind, plants and lightning). I liked the graphics of this game, but then again that’s never been a problem for Red Tiger Gaming.
Mayan Gods is part of a new strategy from Red Tiger Gaming, with latest slot machines of higher volatility and exciting features, while keeping the same high end graphics of their past releases.
