Following in the footsteps of games like Fruit Blox or Laser Fruit, Red Tiger Gaming continues with their strategy of launching new high volatility titles, slot machines that will appeal to pro players rather than casuals, since wins don’t come as often in these, but they do tend to impress if you get the game in just the right way. This new game is called Dragon’s Fire and it’s obviously going to have a dragon themed design.
For a game area with 5 by 4 reels, there are 40 active lines in play in Dragon’s Fire. The game doesn’t have big bets among its options, but even the small ones that are offered could potentially be turned into $100,000 cash. A couple of stacked symbols, including the wild, will be present in the game alongside multipliers as high as 50x, scatters or free spins.
Betting and Prizes
It’s a cheaper game to play than most that are available from Red Tiger Gaming, probably because they wanted to give casinos less of an exposure in case of a big win. It’s starting at $0.20 and can reach a value of up to $10.
When it comes to prizes, normally you get rewards of up to 200x the bet, but with the huge multipliers that are possible you could in theory get up to 50x more, so 10,000x the bet, or $100,000 cash.
The game might be highly volatile, but it’s also getting a good RTP, of 96.07%, though that’s the expectation long-term for it.
Dragon's Fire Slot Features
Two different symbols will deliver the payout that I’ve mentioned above, the top one. One is the Dragon Eye and the other is the Wild. Both these are stacked symbols and you could potentially get a screen filled with these, for the ultimate reward.
Stacked Wild symbols will be included and the player may use them as replacements for pretty much any regular combo he might want to form. They’re going to be useful quite often, especially as stacked symbols.
The game’s big potential comes via the Dragon’s Egg Multiplier, which you will see next to the reels. Whenever you get a win, the multiplier for the next round increases, and it keeps doing this until it reaches 50x. It resets once you get a spin without a win, and obviously getting to 50 consecutive rounds isn’t easy. Luckily, there are ways for the multiplier to get a quicker boost to the target.
That way is through the Dragon’s Eye Boost. It triggers randomly after some winning spins, and it gives the multiplier an increase of 10x.
The second random feature is Fire Blasts, where the dragon starts breathing fire and giving you entire wild reels or triggering free spins.
Another way to get free spins is via scatters, three or more needed anywhere. The number of free games is picked at random, after you choose one of the three displayed dragons. The multiplier that you have in the round which triggered the free spins is used as a starting point for the feature.
Theme & Design
It’s your regular dragon themed slot machine, but with the usual high-quality design that Red Tiger Gaming tends to employ. There is one main dragon whose eye you see in the top paying symbol, followed by images of baby dragons colored in gold, red, green and purple, and then of their similarly colored eggs.
Dragon’s Fire is a beautiful game, and at the same time it’s going to offer a lot of features and a highly volatile gameplay style that I loved.
