Red Tiger, a developer that’s now owned by NetEnt, continues to release slot machines with excellent graphics, this time with a Wild West themed game called Bounty Raid. Bounty hunters will help it deliver rather mediocre top wins, even for a slot with medium volatility, but if you’re a fan of the genre, you might still want to give it a shot.

Bounty Raid gets 5x3 reels and only 10 active lines, which is not terribly impressive, and it ends up bringing along top wins of only 1,000x the stake. It’s fairly low, even for a game with medium volatility, and the 95.71% RTP explains why the slot doesn’t do better. Stacked scatter symbols, Bounty Hunter Re-Spins, along with a couple of extra symbols, will provide you with all the features available inside.

Betting and Prizes

Select your bet, and click Spin, it’s as easy as that to get started. As for the types of bets that you can place, the range is fairly big, between $0.10 and $100. This will allow line bets to reach a maximum value of $10.

The game’s rewards are only average, and that’s even if we take into consideration the typical payouts of a game with medium volatility. Only 1,000x the stake is the value attributed to the top jackpot in this case. The explanation comes from the slot’s RTP, of 95.71%, a bit below the industry average these days, and that difference could’ve brought significantly better rewards for a best case situation.

Bounty Raid Slot Features

A Bounty Hunter icon, landing double stacked on the 3rd reel, will be used to lock up the Bandit symbols that show up everywhere else that round. What comes next is a Re-Spin feature, involving this Bounty Hunter.

During re-spins, you collect prizes from Gold Coins or Bandits that show up in the game area, all other positions getting blanks. Up to 50x payouts are possible from each of these symbols that show up. Once the re-spins are over, with no new symbols collected, the feature is done and you get paid based on what you’ve collected along the way.

The Gold Coins, if they land, will boost the value of the symbols with bandits that are visible at the time.

The Sheriff is another symbol that’s reserved for the re-spin mode, and its appearance will have the bandits rounded up, and get them to combine the amount that can be paid. These icons can only show up on the reels 1, 2, 4 and 5.

That’s about it for the major features that Bounty Raid is giving us. There are no wilds or regular free spins, so most of the action relies on that Bounty Hunter Re-Spin mode.

Theme & Design

If it’s Red Tiger that worked on a game, you just know that they’re going to do an excellent job with the graphics. The Wild West story is not new, but typically you see the Sheriff going after bandits, not the Bounty Hunter, so at least it has that small change going for it. As symbols, the game has the Bounty Hunter scatter, Treasure Chests, Revolvers, Saddles, Hats, Boots and the four card suits.

Bounty Raid might look as good as any competitor, but the combination of a single feature and only average-sized top payouts and RTP, hurts it and doesn’t allow it to be a real contender in this category.
