Joker Strike, the latest Quickspin release, is offering us a new Hi Roller mode and awesome graphics that are based on the standard classic theme, the combination proving to be a very interesting one. Expect to have a lot of fun with this game, but to learn more you should keep reading our review.
You will be playing on the standard 5 reels, 3 symbols appearing in each column. The features are the ones that you need to pay attention to, as the slot uses a new Hi Roller mode, wild symbols and a Joker Strike feature that triggers for every single win.
Betting and Prizes
When you’re betting in Joker Strike, you have one extra option that is not used in most Quickspin slot machines, and that’s the Hi Roller mode. For it, you select fixed bets of $20, $30 or $50, and in exchange you get 5 spins of the reels which have additional features active. You can also go with the standard betting system and game mode, which typically goes from $0.20 to $100 in most slots released by Quickspin.
Looking at what the game can do for you, you can expect for big wins to come via the Joker Strike feature or from the Hi Roller mode. The RTP should be higher for the latter than for the regular spins.
Joker Strike Slot Features
There are several features available in Joker Strike, and most of them are quite unique. You still get a wild symbol, of course, and you use that one as part of various winning combinations formed on the reels. The substitution ability of the wild remains the same as in other games, so that part doesn’t change, only the way that the symbol can appear on the reels does.
Joker Strike is the name of the main feature available to you in the regular spins of this game, and in fact it has given the slot its name. To trigger it, you need a winning combination to occur on one of the active lines. You’re going to get paid by it, and then you will notice that the border that surrounds the reels will become populated with grayed out symbols. It’s going to work a bit like a wheel of fortune, and you want for the spin to end on a Joker symbol. If that happens, you will get a number of random wild symbols added on the reels, up to 10 of them, depending on how many triggering symbols you had.
As for Hi Roller, this is the new game mode that Quickspin is introducing with this slot machine. It’s similar to the Big Bet Spins that are available in Barcrest slots, giving you a fixed number of spins at fixed bets, with extra features active compared with the base game rounds.
$20 Hi Roller Spins will give you 5 rounds with guaranteed wilds in them, symbols that move clockwise around the reels. With $30, in addition to the things already mentioned, you also receive the Wild Strike, which is similar to the Joker Strike feature and uses the outer wheel. As for the highest bet, of $50, those 5 spins come with the previous features, plus a Double Chance which gives you twice the chance of getting the Joker Strike.
Theme & Design
It’s not the most interesting theme, not with a joker in the main role and with card suits, stars and 7s for its symbols, but the design is modern and the focus should be on the features anyway. It’s definitely not a reason to skip this game.
Joker Strike comes with a unique set of features and with a completely new Hi Roller mode that Quickspin is testing out in it. It’s a lot of fun, and I’m sure you will enjoy trying out this new slot from them.
