Crystal Crush is one of the many new releases that we’re seeing from Playson lately. The game is one that offers unique features and a bit of a rare type of gameplay, though we’re seeing more and more cluster-style games lately. You don’t get huge payouts, so whether it can be exciting, that remains to be seen. Keep reading to find out if it’s worth it.
You don’t get regular reels, instead the slot using a game area with 61 symbols in it, and which will allow them to create wins through clusters of 5 or more that match. You will get some OK features, such as wilds and bonus features which include multipliers. The rewards aren’t that high, the best paying clusters offering only 6.4x the stake of the round.
Betting and Prizes
Your wagers in Crystal Crush will rely on the amount that you’re selecting for all available symbols and potential clusters. You have the list of bet values in the range of $0.25 to $100. This allows you to pick the amount you want to use, and you don’t worry about the line bet’s worth.
Have the Orange icons appearing in a cluster that has at least 9 symbols in it, to receive the game’s biggest reward, which is 6.4x the stake wagered, or $640. You do have the possibility to form multiple clusters in a single round, and there are multipliers during its bonus features as well, so the potential is there for more, though nothing Earth-shattering. I’d expect this to be fairly low volatility, with payouts coming often and giving the player a fun experience. Pros will not be happy with the payouts though, they’re just not big enough.
Crystal Crush Slot Features
It’s not a standard slot machine, so the features you’re going to discover inside are more interesting as well. It starts off with a simple wild though, one that you can use as part of any cluster of symbols.
You form your winning combinations in this game by getting matching symbols (and possibly wilds) next to each other. A minimum of five are required, before you can get anything out of them. The best payouts are for clusters of 9+ symbols.
Crystallized icons are present and they can be collected when they show up, filling up certain bars. They can also be part of clusters, if they appear next to them.
For every three crushed symbols that you have, there will be a bonus level awarded, out of the six available.
Level 1 gives you 2x multipliers for wins using symbols of that color. Level 2 turns 1 to 3 random symbols into wilds. Level 3 applies a 3x multiplier to a win using symbols of that color. Level 4 turns up to six icons into extra wilds. Level 5 gives wins a 4x multiplier, if they have the proper color. Finally, with level 6 you get all crystals and regular symbols of a certain color turned into wilds.
Theme & Design
It’s a crystal themed design, something quite colorful and fitting for the social games which have often used this type of action in the past. Overall, it’s the basic Candy Crush inspired slot machine, which I’m sure will appeal to many, as the graphics are good.
Crystal Crush should appeal to the players that have enjoyed these cluster-style titles in the past, the type of game that delivers prizes often, though of a small value on average.
