Poke the Guy is not your standard slot machine, especially since it doesn’t have neither reels nor pay lines for winning combinations. Still, you will have an opportunity to get paid up to $15,000 during the game’s most profitable rounds.

Betting and Prizes

Your bets in Poke the Guy will be done via the options located at the bottom. The so-called Spin button, which has a fork with a force field holding an object, will sport arrows on both sides, used to select another thing to use on the guy. Each object that is shown there will have a different range, some cheaper, other more expensive. The total range of your bets will be from $0.01 to $30, depending both on the amount and on the object that is selected.

Poke The Guy Game Features

This is unlike any slot machine you’re likely to find right now. You don’t have lines for symbols to appear on and form combinations, just a guy that moves at random and objects that you throw and you hope that they will hit him. The splash that is made on a hit is going to bring you a random reward, and I for one didn’t see any connection between the position that is occupied by the Guy and the amount that is paid.

There aren’t any other features to make it more exciting either, so it’s just the random movement of the main character and nothing else to make it interesting long-term. It could be a novelty title, something to get busy with as you’re saying to yourself “WTF”, but I doubt it’s going to be played much otherwise.

Theme & Design

The theme of this very weird slot machine is going to revolve around a guy that’s moving around in a Las Vegas style city, with a lot of different buildings and landmarks shown together. You see there the Eiffel Tower, a pair of pyramids, Mt. Rushmore and the Sphinx, to mention just a few. As I said though, it doesn’t seem to be important what building is hit, the payout is still random. The Guy is showing off in different weird poses and he looks a bit deranged himself, as he’s wearing a yellow suit and flashing way too much hair on his chest and face.

Conclusion

It’s a weird slot machine, which Microgaming seems to want us to have some fun with. It might’ve been fun if it was half-way profitable, but it’s not going to pay well from what I’ve seen so far.
