If you love stories with medieval knights and fire-breathing dragons, preferably with battles fought between the two sides, then you will love Dragon & Knights, the latest Merkur Gamings slot. It’s got a dark design, appropriate for the times, there are good guys and villains (knights vs a dragon), and the RTP is good enough that it’s not going to be a big pro or a con.
You will discover that the slot has 20 lines and 5 reels. You spin the reels, using wagers which at their highest could bring you up to 5,000x the stake, or $200,000 in one spin. It’s a game which has free spins, multipliers, wilds and scatters as well, so all the usual major features were included and they help make the action just a little bit more interesting.
Betting and Prizes
If you click on the Bet Value which you see at the bottom, you will be opening up a small menu, which will list wagers ranging from $0.20 to $40. Used for 20 active lines, it will give each one $0.01 to $2, which is a decent range which should cover a lot of player’s needs.
With the paytable set up to give you the exact amount that can be won with the current wager, you will find that the best combo pays 1,000 coins, or up to $2,000. For 20 lines, this gives you a maximum potential per spin of up to $40,000. Things get a lot more exciting once the free spins come in, as their multipliers can take the payout potential up to $200,000.
Dragon & Knights Slot Features
There are several good features in this game, but none of them could be considered unique or rare.
For starters, there will be one wild symbol which you will be able to use, taking the form of the Knight or the Dragon. You have these as substitutes, capable of forming combinations when placed next to symbols which are considered regular.
Special positions are used inside, one at the bottom of reel 1 and the other at the top of reel 5. Have one of the wild symbols appear in one of the two positions, and a meter will go up. The 1st reel will influence the free spins meter, while the 5th reel does the same for the multiplier meter.
Once you manage to reach the top of the free spins meter (the left side one), you get 20 free spins from it, along with whatever multiplier value was reached on the right side meter. You could get wins multiplied by up to 5x this way, for those rounds. Or you could reach the free spins meter’s highest point first, and then you get a 5x multiplier for whatever number of free spins was reached on the other meter.
Theme & Design
It’s a dark design, appropriate for a medieval inspired game, which pits huge knights against dragons which breathe fire. The graphics style looks hand-drawn, which I consider a plus for it. You get the knight and the dragon, shields, thrones, castles, flames and maces, plus the usual mix of Royals. It’s a good looking game, though not particularly modern.
Dragon & Knights has good features to offer, the big multipliers being of special interest, plus it’s got some decent graphics as well.
