Following in the footsteps of a popular slot from Lightning Box, Astro Cat Deluxe is obviously supposed to be a better version of the original, and in a lot of ways it actually succeeds in its mission. The game features a mix of cat and Asian style graphics, with a focus on several things that are considered lucky in that part of the world.

With the RTP at 95.46%, I’ve seen better returns announced for a slot game, but Astro Cat Deluxe isn’t too far off either. Moving on to its features, the game comes with a Sky Wheel (Coin Wins, a Respin Bonus and sticky wilds), scatters and regular wilds.
With 50 coins being used in each round’s wager, you have the option to spend as little as $0.50 if you want to, but there is the possibility to go up to $50 as well. The amount spent with each coin goes from $0.01 to $1.
The fixed jackpots of Astro Cat Deluxe deliver some of its better prizes, reaching a maximum value of 4,000x total stake, or up to $200,000. The easiest feature around will be the wild symbol, which you can rely on to be the standard substitute, used next to regular symbols only.

It’s a lucky cat inspired theme, with the focus being on the White Cat which we see in Asian culture. There are several other Eastern icons, such as lion costumes, bonsai trees, fish, frogs or hand fans. Unfortunately, we also see basic Royals in that line-up. Overall, it’s a game with a fairly busy design, but not what you’d consider pretty.
Astro Cat Deluxe manages to be fun, adding to the original the Sky Wheel concept, though also keeping the dated style design and a relatively low RTP, which is below 96%.
