Presto is a new Habanero slot machine, a game that is themed around magic and which shows us one of its shows. It involves a magician and his beautiful assistant, rabbits pulled out of hats, pigeons and various other classic tricks that we’ve come to expect to see in these shows.
The game is the type that will rely on ways to win, 243 possible combinations forming on the 5 reels. You can get paid very well if you keep up with the game, and in fact the theoretical RTP is set to 98%, an incredible amount for a slot machine, a number that few will reach. Looking at the features that are implemented in this game, you have free spins, the Magic Hat Re-Spins, scatters and wild symbols (both regular and expanding).
Betting and Prizes
The betting is done via the options available at the bottom. Look to the left side of the Spin button to change the bet level and the number of coins used per line, while to the right there is the coin value. You’re going to go with multiples of 30 coins, since the game simulates the use of 30 lines in order to cover the full 243 ways to win. The smallest wager that you should be able to use to play this game is $0.30, but going considerably higher from there is also an option.
In terms of prizes, what you’re really interested in is the long-term sustainability of the slot, and I’m happy to report that the developer has set the RTP to 98%. There are only a couple of slot machines that have that kind of return, out of the thousands that are on the market right now, so this is definitely a slot machine to pay attention to.
Presto Slot Features
The Wild Logos are quite obvious about the things that they’re promising that they can do for you. The symbols appear on all reels and they are usable as replacements, including themselves in any wins that are formed and which go through the wilds. As long as the wild’s reel is in the path of a win, the substitution will occur, since we’re talking about ways to win here. This makes the wild symbol much more valuable.
The game doesn’t stop at offering just those regular wilds though. There are expanding ones also, showing us the WILD logo but with the lovely magician’s assistant next to it, and covering the full reel. Obviously, this triples the wins and number of combinations whenever it happens.
Scatters are features that are common in modern slots, and they’ve been used in Presto through Crystal Orbs that you see in symbols with gold borders around them. Reaching the 12 free spins requires that you have three of these Orbs visible on the reels, no matter what the position of the symbols is.
One other extremely interesting feature is called Illusion Countdown. It’s shown at the top of the reels, with feathers counting down the time until you get to a special feature, one of four available.
Theme & Design
Presto is about a magician’s show, and so that’s exactly what you’re seeing on the reels. The story has been told before, in games that look as good as this one and in others that do not. The images are of the magician, of the assistant, magic boxes, a pair of doves, a rabbit and quite a few of standard playing cards. It’s a lovely design, but some things could be improved in it, namely the choice of low-paying symbols.
Thanks to its very high Return to Player and the beautiful graphics, I have no doubt that Habenero’s Presto will be a slot that many will try out.
