One Hundred to One Slot
One Hundred to One, a new game from Green Tube and Novomatic, is all about the dollar bill, at least in theory, as this appears to inspire many of its background graphics. When it comes to actual symbols, it looks more like a classic title, which is unfortunate.
You can spin 5x5 reels here, and in this large game area we’re offered 100 paylines. The game will deliver free spins and big multipliers, and it will do it fairly often, so while wins of up to 500x total stake don’t sound impressive, they’re not bad for this particular slot. A bit of a downside is the RTP of 95.36%, which I’d consider below average.
Betting and Prizes
Even though you get 100 paylines, your wagers are fairly low here, so you can use as little as $0.10 for one spin. The maximum value for this bet will reach $50 per spin, which is quite accessible for a slot with 100 lines.
You can win smaller amounts for your winning combinations, but the symbols will be forming them quite often, since there are only a couple available and a huge number of lines. Wins of up to 50x total stake are possible in the base game, but you can boost that figure to 500x in free spins mode, once the 10x multipliers kick in.
I wouldn’t expect anyone to jump for joy when hearing about the 95.36% RTP that’s available in One Hundred to One. The game has medium volatility.
One Hundred to One Slot Features
As soon as it loads, you’re going to notice that it’s a special game. Not only does it offer a big game area, with 5x5 reels, but it also has only a couple of symbols. Four possible symbols appear, one of which has a white circle on a black background, and it acts as a blocker. The other three are split between the Free Spins logo (feature trigger) and two regular symbols, which form winning combinations. You don’t get a lot of variety on the reels, but that’s good when you’re trying to create winning combinations, since it makes it easier. The big downside is that only 5-symbol combinations can form, so unlike other slots, it’s useless if you get only 3 or 4 together.
The same type of 5-symbol combination is used to trigger the free spins. You only get 1 free spin from each combo though, and up to 100 of them if the reels are filled with these icons, on up to 100 lines. As you go through those spins, retriggering the feature is possible, and this time there will be bigger multipliers as well. You go to 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 10x multipliers, as you retrigger the free spins several times. At most, you could get 600 free spins in total, where multipliers can reach for the final stretch.
Theme & Design
It’s a classic theme if you look at the reels and the mix of Dollar Signs and Bar logos which appear on them. The blocker symbols and the Free Spins logos don’t contribute with much either. The quality is not great, it’s clearly on the dated side, and the currency themed decorations from the background image aren’t much better.
One Hundred to One is an unusual game, but that by itself doesn’t make it great. It’s interesting to play, since it’s different, but with a 95.36% RTP I’d hesitate to recommend it in the long run.
