The legends of Ireland are once again used for the backstory of a slot machine, and the leprechaun is the main character in Endorphina’s release, Rainbow Ray. They designed it well, but ultimately it relies on features to impress its players.

Rainbow Ray is a slot machine with a Pay Anywhere engine, which uses 6x5 reels each round. It’s not clear how much it will pay, but the RTP is good at 96.12%. As for the features that help out, there are cascading reels included, along with free spins where up to 100x multipliers may apply to your wins.

Betting and Prizes

Playing around with the number of coins and their value will allow you to start with bets as low as $0.20, but you can also go as high as $100.

Rainbow Ray will pay best when combining its regular combinations (up to 50x) with the multipliers from the free spins (up to 100x). The potential is quite high at that point, though we don’t know what the cap is or how much it paid during internal testing.

Theme & Design

There is a lot of green in the design of Rainbow Ray, both on the reels and behind them. As symbols, the choice was also typical. The Leprechaun is a feature symbol, and gemstones may land as multiplier symbols during free spins. Regular symbols start, top to bottom, with the Pot of Gold, Lucky Horseshoe, Toadstool, Harp, Beer, and the four card suits as gemstones set in gold.

Conclusion

Rainbow Ray doesn’t have a huge list of features or a new story to tell, but even with those very common choices, it was well designed, and it can be fun to play for the right player. You do need the free spins in order to get any serious prize out of this slot, though.
