Every 2 years or so, the slot machine industry sees an influx of new football themed slot machines, usually with a launch date that’s somewhere in June. The reason for it, and for the presence of Winner’s Cup as well, is that a Euro or World Cup is about to take place. For the release of this particular game, it was the 2018 World Cup from Russia that was the source of inspiration, even though you don’t see it that much in its symbols. The slot machine we have here is one that comes from Booming Games.
Sporting a game area that’s larger than usual, at 5x4 reels, the game delivers a total of 30 pay lines. A top win of $3,000 can come your way through its single best combo. Other major elements of the game include the scatter symbol, its free spins or the regular wild feature.
Betting and Prizes
If you check out the way the game handles its betting, you will find that it doesn’t do things differently than other slots. You have 30 fixed lines, and so naturally you get a betting range that will start from $0.30, which places a $0.01 bet on each line. The other end of the range is at $300, where each line receives $10.
The players are looking at high rewards of 300x in Winner’s Cup, which means that the right combinations will bring along payouts of $3,000. Obviously, there is also the chance to form combinations on several lines at a time, even on all active lines, which means that the top jackpot is limited to $90,000.
Winner's Cup Slot Features
Booming Games doesn’t elaborate too much when it comes to features that they implement in their slots, and Winner’s Cup isn’t any different in that regard. You are looking at a slot that has wilds and scatters, with free spins added to this mix as well, plus some Vertical Multiplying Paylines.
First, let’s check out the Wild Logo, which is naturally going to be your wild feature. Have this symbol land on the reels multiple times, on a single line, and it can form a combination by itself and give you the slot’s high reward of up to 300x. The other way to use it, and the one that will come in handy most of the time, is to have it as a substitute alongside regular symbols. Together, these can form winning combinations and will pay based on the regular symbol’s type, rather than the wild’s own prizes. Wilds are not replacements for scatters, that much hasn’t changed.
Now, looking at the Trophy Scatter, the symbols of this type may appear on three reels, out of the five you get. You can’t use them if they appear only once or twice, so it’s an “all or nothing” sort of situation here. With the three scatter icons visible, there is a reward of 2x the bet awarded, and then you get access to the free spins.
Finally, for the Vertical Multiplying Paylines we have five vertical lines which form vertically from top to bottom, and another five that form from bottom to top. These lines have multiplier values which get applied to their wins.
Theme & Design
It’s one of the simpler looking football themed slots that I’ve seen released right now, so I’m not terribly impressed with it. It has several football jerseys, representing Russia, Sweden, Germany and Brazil, followed by images of whistles, footballs, shoes, gloves and a stop watch.
Winner’s Cup is going to have a couple of features to offer which look interesting, but quite a few that are on the boring side as well. Its graphics don’t help much.
