Tridentia appears to have been inspired by the trident that the god of the ocean was using for his weapon. Poseidon’s weapon might be the inspiration for the title and part of its design, but mostly this is a slot machine which tries to show us things through the eyes of the Ancient Greeks, as a lot of the symbols are actually hand-painted on the ceramic tiles of their walls. As for its developer, the increasingly popular Blueprint Gaming has worked on this game.
Tridentia is a 5-reel title, a slot machine which offers only 10 active paylines. The game is part of the Jackpot King series, offering expanding wilds, scatters and free spins inside, so there are are ways to improve on the game’s 500x the stake maximum potential and relatively low RTP.
Betting and Prizes
Before you can figure out how much you can win in this new casino game, you should know how much you’re able to invest first. The wager is required to cover 10 available lines, and so you can go as low as $0.10 per spin if you want to, or as high as $100. This would give you a range for the game’s line bet of $0.01 to $10.
500x the stake appears to be the highest that the game will go, if you look at its regular combinations alone. Have the screen filled with Trident icons, to get a reward as high as $50,000 offered to you.
The payout, while small, is actually not as much of a disappointment as the RTP is. While it’s normal for games to have lower RTP when they offer progressive jackpots, to make room for their own contribution, Tridentia doesn’t get past 93.97% even with the Jackpot King helping out (0.77% contribution). The other two jackpots have limits in place, so they must be triggered before they reach certain levels ($35,000 for Regal and $3,500 for Royal).
Tridentia Slot Features
Poseidon will be your expanding wild feature for Tridentia. He’s a substitute for all types of regular symbols, so naturally the scattered Temple is not influenced by its presence. Since it expands, this means that it can take over the reel it appears on, and that way it can participate in all combinations being formed.
Your access to the free spins is possible via the Temple scatters, which you will need visible, no matter whey they pop up. You need 3, 4 or 5 scatters, to get paid 20x to 500x, plus there are 12 free spins offered as well.
The big plus of the free spins is the way they upgrade the wild’s ability. Poseidon keeps his ability to expand, but now he also upgrades the high paying symbols to the next paying position. Additional free games are triggered via the same Poseidon expanding wilds, when appearing 1 to 3 times (1 to 5 additional spins).
Theme & Design
It’s not some unheard-of theme, but it does well enough since it’s got a different design. Instead of using regular images of objects from Ancient Greece, it relies on wall paintings, and you can see the different texture they have. Poseidon, the trident, a temple, Pegasus, dolphins, a trireme, pottery and silver coins are the main symbols, while four Royals are the low ones.
Tridentia offers just enough to make itself interesting in some ways, but it’s just too bad that it has such a low total RTP.
