As the game’s title will reveal even before it loads, expect to find a game with Egyptian style graphics inside. Blueprint didn’t pick the most inspiring theme they could’ve gone with here, but they made sure to create some cool features for it, so there are good parts to the slot as well.
Eye of Horus slot is going to be the sort of game to deliver fewer lines, only 10 even though it has 5x3 reels. There will be expanding wilds, scatters and free spins with symbol upgrades, so things could get interesting at times. When it comes to its highest rewards, there are promises of payouts as high as $50,000 and of an RTP set to 96.31%.
Betting and Prizes
It’s the standard way of placing a bet, at least for Blueprint, where you have a screen with several bet values to pick from. The smallest one offered is $0.20, and then there are several which will keep going up in value, until you reach the $100 one. You spend at most $10 for a single line.
Since the best winning combo you get is going to pay back 500 coins to you, a win will bring you a reward of up to $5,000. Thanks to the 10 lines involved, you have a potential payout of $50,000 per spin.
I liked that the RTP is on the high side, at 96.31%, which is a decent figure, especially since the potential of the game is only 500x the stake. It should be a low volatility game.
Eye of Horus Slot Features
Eye of Horus is not a very elaborate game, and things are pretty simple for the most part, but one unique feature does appear once you reach the free spins stage.
While in the base game, the most exciting feature that you’re going to see is the Horus expanding wild. Appearing on three reels, it will be used only as a replacement symbol, but the good news is that it will contribute to all active lines each round where this is possible. It only needs to appear on a reel, and if its expansion brings you any new wins, then it will do just that. The wild ends up covering all positions on a reel. As for its substitution ability, it works in connection with all regular symbols, the ones forming combinations.
The Egyptian Temple icon is your basic scatter, the symbol which you can get anywhere on the reels and it triggers the free spins for you. In addition to a cash prize of up to 500x, it also offers 12 free spins, whenever you get 3+ scatters at the same time.
The expanding wild, Horus, is going to get an additional ability for the duration of the free spins. The tablet symbols, the high paying ones, will be upgraded by the wild, whenever they’re in the same combo together. You get a bigger payout that way, and so the potential for the free spins feature is much improved. It doesn’t seem to have any effect on the Royals though.
Theme & Design
It’s the classic Ancient Egypt theme, which we’ve seen in probably hundreds of slots already. The symbols you see include regular Royals, but there are some unusual ones as well. Images of tablets with paintings of flowers, the Ankh, scarabs, eagles and coyotes are the high paying positions. The features have the image of a temple’s entrance and that of the Horus god. Eye of Ra is the one paying the jackpot.
Eye of Horus feels like a very simple game most of the time, but it has at least one unique feature and a good RTP, so it’s not to be avoided if you enjoy the theme.
