The Legend of Big Foot is addressed to the believers out there, the seekers of the recluse hairy monster that is supposedly living in the forests of North America. It seems to be a particularly interesting topic in that part of the world, and as an urban legend that’s yet unproven, it certainly deserves its own slot machine. That’s exactly what Barcrest did, the developer creating a game that’s especially focused on wildlife, since that’s the creature’s natural environment.
It’s a game that picks up many of the Barcrest features and gameplay styles, involving the use of 10 or 20 active lines on 5x3 reels. There are the usual Big Bets present, while for its features it relies on the Wild Big Foot, which is coming through wild reels, free spins and random wilds, along with potential Bigfoot sightings. Regular wins in this case will go up to $7,500.
Betting and Prizes
Depending on the total bet which you select at the bottom, you can use 10 or 20 active lines inside. You start from $0.10, with 10 lines that get $0.01 each. You go up from there, reaching $300 at most, where the 20 lines receive $15. As always in a Barcrest slot, you also get to use Big Bet Spins, with values at $20, $30 or $50.
Another Barcrest typical feature is the RTP which varies between 94% and 98%, depending on the value of the bet and its type (regular vs Big Bets). The best single combo win that you can land will be worth $7,500.
The Legend of Big Foot Slot Features
Big Foot’s not going to be as much of a presence on the reels as you might think, since the slot is using the creature’s image for the wild. It’s not going to have it during regular spins, so you’re getting it to show up only during certain features.
Among those features, there are the Free Spins, triggered through three scatter symbols that show off the Big Foot logo and the famous footprint, on reels 1, 3 and 5. There will be Bigfoot sightings in this feature, which bring along extra bonuses. The sightings occur at random, bringing you Random Wilds, Wild Reels, Respin Reels, Respin Last Reel and Symbol Swapping. There are 6 levels total for the free spins, with 8 rounds given to start with. You advance on the free spins trail and you reach the next levels, which have a bigger number of random wilds.
If you prefer going with the Big Bet Spins, which have a higher average RTP, then you will benefit from better odds of triggering Bigfoot Sightings and stacked scatters. Each Big Bet will bring along 5 spins.
Theme & Design
Since The Legend of Big Foot follows the hairy creature through its natural environment, what you’re seeing around the game area is a beautiful green forest, somewhere near snow-covered mountains. Moving on to the reels, those are made out of wood and they feature images of wildlife and of playing cards. Those low-paying cards use wood in their construction and they’re colored differently. The ones that pay more have mountain lions, wolves, racoons, moose, eagles and beavers. Feature icons bring along Big Foot and his Footprint, as the wild and the scatter, respectively. I doubt that the graphics quality is high enough to make players give it a shot for that alone, but the ones that like that urban legend will find it good enough to play it.
The Legend of Big Foot gets decent graphics and the usual Barcrest features, the result being a pretty decent one overall, a slot that you might actually want to play.
