Barcrest’s new game, 7s On Fire is a classic themed title, with some modern options, but overall with a lot of bad decisions influencing its design, RTP and even its payouts. Not the best game that we’ve seen from Barcrest over the years, but more on that below.

First, you’re looking at a 3-reel game, a slot machine which is designed with the usual 5 active lines. It doesn’t do a lot to make itself attractive, and that’s mostly due to the fact that they coupled a 1,250x top prize with high volatility, and the former is too low when you take the latter into consideration. Even RTP wise, it’s not doing that well, with only a 95.10% return expected long-term. As for the features available here, as a classic game, it doesn’t give us all that much, and in fact you will find only the wild symbols and High Roller Spins on the list.

Betting and Prizes

The game’s offering bet values for pretty much everyone, and they will start from a minimum of just $0.10 per spin. At the other end, we are looking at bets of up to $500. Whether your budget is low or high, you should still be able to play 7s On Fire.

Another type of bet that you can place, is going to result in 5 High Roller spins triggering. You wager $20 to $500, for each set of 5, and in exchange you get some extras and the free spins to begin immediately. Some downsides are also there though, as you’re going to learn in the features section.

Looking at the slot’s rewards, those will only reach 1,250x the stake during the base game, and 625x for the High Roller Spins (though the odds go up there).

A game with high volatility, 7s On Fire will not offer enough to offset the risk that’s associated with it. Even the RTP is on the low side, at 95.10%, since the average slot machine is above 96%.

7s On Fire Slot Features

The base game is quite boring, and it only offers you a simple Double 7 wild, which has very limited abilities. It will be a replacement only for the regular Lucky 7 symbol. At the same time, these Double 7s are capable of offering you the game’s top wins, paying 250x the stake in the base game, and 125x during free spins.

The way to get a bit more out of 7s On Fire is to trigger the High Roller Games, by paying $20 to $500 for the privilege. You are getting 5 High Roller Spins in exchange. The difference, besides the fact that the winning combinations pay less here, is that the Double 7 wild is now capable of substituting for all other types of symbols, not just that single Lucky 7.

Theme & Design

The theme of 7s On Fire is as basic and as boring as they get. It’s a fruit themed slot machine, and it adds a fire element to it as well. You can see the fire in the background, as well as in the wild Double 7 symbol. Other than that, you get the basic symbols that you always find in such slots, ranging from Lucky 7s, to Stars, Bells, watermelons, Bar logos, oranges and cherries.

The problem with the game’s theme is not as much the fact that it is inspired by the classics. It’s the fact that they copied the design of an 80s slot machine that is the real issue here.

Conclusion

7s On Fire looks like an 80s game, has high volatility but low RTP and top payouts, offers boring features, and overall is just a slot machine that you’d be better off skipping.
