Plenty Dragons is a new Chinese themed video slot that covers a genre which is already filled to the brim with similar releases. It’s Amatic’s version of such a game though, so we’re seeing how they envision an Asian dragon themed slot machine, which offers many of the other typical graphics, but also a good mix of features.

You play on 5x4 reels, a game area big enough to get even more than the 50 lines which are available for use each round. Wins of 1,000x the stake appear to be the highest possible for a single spin. The slot’s going to have a couple of very good features, and I for one enjoyed seeing the scattered Dragon Pearls, along with the stacked wilds which boost wins with the help of 2x multipliers.

Betting and Prizes

You get the option to select bets for the upcoming spins, starting from $10 and going as high as $10,000, though options may vary at online casinos. There is also the possibility of picking 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 lines to be active during the next round.

As for the rewards that will make the game worth checking out, expect for wins of up to 20x the stake to be possible for each of the 50 lines, bringing the value of the top jackpot to 1,000x the stake. The symbols that will offer that much are the stacked wilds, so if you do get these symbols on all reels, there is a decent chance that multiple lines will pay at the same time.

Plenty Dragons Slot Features

Among the features that are offered in Plenty Dragons, you will not find the most complex options around, but what you do get will manage to make many of your spins more profitable or fun.

For one, I’m especially a fan of the Dragon Wild symbol, which you will get stacked and on all five reels. As such, you can get 1 to 3 positions covered by wilds when they show up, and since all five reels get them, forming their own wins is also possible. When they do pay directly, they offer up to 20x the stake per line, for 5 wilds. If they contribute to another combination as a substitute, then they apply a 2x multiplier, and they help double the win for that particular line. Even with that multiplier, the regular symbols don’t come close to what the wild’s own combos can pay (up to 8x paid by a regular symbol combo, when the wild doubles the win).

There is one other feature symbol, a Pearl symbol with fire around it, also the scatter. Landing anywhere in sight, 3, 4 or 5 times, it will trigger rewards of 1x, 5x or 25x the stake.

Theme & Design

Amatic’s Plenty Dragons gives us an Asian theme, and a fairly common type of design for the genre. The Asian dragons are the stars here, seen in the wild symbol and capable of covering full reels. Pearl scatters will be used for the other feature symbol. Regular positions have the Phoenix Bird, Dragon Turtle, Frog, Fish, Gold Ingot and Flower.

Conclusion

Plenty Dragons doesn’t bring a lot to the table that will make it interesting, not by comparison with the hundreds of other Chinese themed slot machines, many with better graphics and features. Still, it’s not a bad game either, and if you don’t want complex features and huge volatility, this one could work very well.
